What are the best fighting games on PS3?

So far I've only tried Virtua Fighter V and Stree Fighter IV, but I'm really getting into the genre lately and looking to expand.

I've also heard good things about BlazBlue, so I might check that out soon.

Any other fighting games I should make sure to try?

Definitely give the BlazeBlue series a look. Playstation All Stars isn't too bad either though it doesn't quite live up to Smash Bros.

Tekken 6 is fine however not as good as the older Tekken games.

Beside there is this game franchise based on an Anime called Naruto. They are some pretty great fighting games actually. Even though a lot of people thinks that Anime is for kids.

There aren't any console exclusive titles when it comes to fighting games. With that said I think Super Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter x Tekken, Soul Calibur 5, and Injustice are solid games (my favorites at least).

Just recently announced Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is going to be a PS3 F2P game exclusive (after I just finished saying there aren't any exclusives *face palm*). You can pick that up when it drops.

I think Tekken and street fighters are a must try for fighting games. They are like the classics in the fighting game genre. They are exciting to play because of the large amount of character and the comboes you can use.

A while back I started a thread about good fighting games for beginners and began my journey with fighting games. But I had to stop because they made me have a temper, and if I start to have a temper I immediately stop the game. Anyways, during my time, the best fighting game I liked the most was Street Fighter X Tekken. Close second would be SoulCalibur V.

You should definitely try Mortal Kombat. It's such a classic game to play. It's only around $14 for a used in GameStop, so the price isn't too bad. I had a lot of fun playing that game against friends, it made it so much more competitive between us all.

I love street fighter and Tekken tag tournament, I want to get soul Calibur v but oh well can't get it now because ps4 coming out so waste of time.

How can I forget about Mortal Kombat. MK9 is classic MK action with a few twists including enhanced moves and Xray moves. I love it.
It definitely gets the award for best and longest fighting game story. You also get tons of play time with the tower missions. It's an overall great game, and definitely worth the $60 although it's super cheap now.
