What are you going to do with your PS3 at launch?

What are you guys planning on doing with your PS3's when you get the PS4?

I'm going to keep one of my two in my room and put the other in my daughters room to begin with I think. Can't beat not needing a blue ray player! Also we can at least play some of the old PS3 games in our rooms and then have the PS4 out in the living room!

When I finally get The Playstation 4 I will probably keep my Playstation 3. I don't see any other option for my Playstation 3. I am not into the whole selling my old electronics to gaming stores. I just don't see the purpose in doing so, especially since you spent way more than what you will be getting back in return. Other than that, I will probably save my Playstation 4, just to have around. That is exactly what I did with the Playstation 2, when I got my Playstation 3.

I am always open to accepting your old PS3s hahaha. :)

I recently bought a laptop and because of that, I no longer have the budget to even buy a PS3. What more PS4? :)

However, if I were to have one, I would probably just keep it and have it displayed in the living room along with all other gaming consoles. ;)

Nothing, it will stay in the exact same place that it is right now. You might never know when i will want to play some PS3 titles and that the PS4 won't let me, or if i just want to use the dualshock 3 one more time.

I won't be getting a PS4 at launch, but when I do, I'll surely keep my PS3 right where it's at right now, which is a first for me seeing as all other older consoles I had always went to storage and/or eventually goes missing. I suppose it's because it has functions beyond being something to play on, so it makes more sense now to keep it at bay even with a new machine.

I have already decided to give it to my nephew, until he is able to buy his own PS4. He has promised to keep it in good shape, like I did all those years. When I get it back, I will place it next to my PS1 and PS2, I just love having the full collection of Sony consoles together.

I will keep my PS3 where it is I think, for now anyway and Ive no plans to get rid of it....yet.
There are a few games I would like to keep and play on it,games that are best with a few people.like Rock Band and Guitar Hero games :)

Im so going to put the ps3 in the treehouse!!! Seriously I've been wanting to have it in there permanently but we keep having to drag his up and down, and I have to stick it in the back pack everytime I want to play it up there when Im at his house, so I'm just going to donate it. I suppose I sound like I'm 12, but our treehouse is no ordinary fort. My brother is a contractor and this thing is like a condo that would make a NYC studio apartment cry "no Fair". It's pretty intense. It's up at his house and not mine, but it's actually where the adults are allowed to hang out when we need to get away from his crazy children, and not the other way around. Of course, I have a trusty jetpack MI Fi to play out there online too.

I'll probably leave it with my mom so she can keep using it as a glorified DVD/Blu-ray player. When I went to college I had to leave it with her because she didn't have a DVD player, so when I get a PS4 I'll probably just let her keep it. The majority of my games are PS2 games anyway, and the PS3 seems to hate them. I hadn't been playing much since the only games that worked were PS1 and PS3 games, but hopefully the PS4 will have better compatibility with previous generations.

I am probably going to put it in my basement some where I can keep it safe so that I can play it later. I really don't have much use for it but putting it back into the original box would make opening it next time cool but the PS4 plays all the PS3 game so it has not alot of use for it. Maybe I could sell it later for a vintage item in the future.

Keeping it, hahaha. You know how every now and then it's nice to break out the SNES or PS1? I like to think of a day where that'll be the PS3.

I am keeping my PS3. I have all my PS consoles and I still play on them. I don't plan on getting rid of any of them. I have games for all three and I still play them mainly because I some I haven't finished yet.

The PS3 is going to be one of those consoles that will always be used, the graphics will remain decent for many, many years. Much longer than the PS2. For that reason (and the bluray drive) I think the PS3 will hold it's value OK. I'll keep mine as a Bluray player anyway.

It will depend if I need the money for it or not, if I do I will just try to sell it on ebay which will probably sell for a nice amount ( 1st model, 3.55 OFW, Mint ) and if I don't, which I hope, I will just use it mainly as a BD player in my living room and too play some old games once in a while like Last of Us and the uncharted saga .
