What are your fondest PS1 memories?

I've played quite a few games for the PS1, but there were certain things that still stand out. My parents originally bought my sister and me a PS1 console to share, but I was much more interested in games in the long term. After a while, the console was basically just mine, so my friends and I would often play games after school and on the weekend in my room. One of the best memories I have is playing a Nascar game with my friend. Even though neither of us were really fans of Nascar in general, we would always drive backwards on the track and try to cause huge wrecks with the other cars. It probably wasn't what the game's designers had in mind, but it never got old.

There was this game called Azure Dreams that got me really addicted to the Playstation 1. It was so addicting, that I would get mad at my parents whenever they wanted to go out of the house to do some activities. Heck, this game made me want to stop attending Mass. I could consider this as the game of my childhood.

It's surprisingly not games for me. I remember getting this on my birthday or around that time. My brother and I have birthdays one day apart, so it was meant for the both of us. Everyday, we would fight to see who would get up earlier in order to play the PS1. It was all we played when we got it. Sadly, we grow up, and the PS1 is not used much anymore.

Playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 all day long with my old friend and cousins from Alabama. That is where I found out that you don't have to always win to have fun. Of course I won sometimes but just playing a good game and some healthy competition can do wonders over a summer with no car or job.

I have fonder memories about the PS1 than the PS2--not because I prefer it, necessarily, but because I grew up with it. I still have my PS1 also, but the reason I stopped playing my PS2 is because it stopped working and I threw it away. I have a lot more memories playing multiplayer on my PS1 than my PS2, but I honestly don't know why.

I used to absolutely live Tony Hawks Pro Skater on the PS1 - I used to have my friends round all the time to play the 2 players skate parks and I've spent many long hours in Career Mode. It's the one main game I remember playing on there.

I can't believe I forgot about the Pro Skater games. The first one I owned was Pro Skater 2, which I played endlessly. It's the game that introduced me to "cheats" in general. My friend told me about "fly mode," which I then used constantly because I had never seen anything like it. It only got crazier from there, but I'll always remember that game as the one that changed everything for me. Not to mention, of course, the game was excellent without the cheats enabled.

My fondest game I remembered playing is Tony Hawk's Pro on my PlayStation 1. I love all Tony Hawk's games. I am a huge fan of Tony Hawk. His games took me by a big surprise. I remembered buying all of his series for PlayStation 2. Tony Hawk was the first game I have ever played on my PlaySation 1. This game is so fun and realistic!

Since I was an early teen I was a massive fan of professional wrestling. I started out watching WCW, and then I accidentally turned the TV station and saw WWF, which is now known as WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)

I bought all of the games that I could afford, if they had anything to do with WWF at the time, and some of my fondest memories is sitting down and playing the games, WWF Attitude and Warzone hen I was younger. I LOVED those game and I especially loved playing the season mode? Awesome games for their time. I got hours of enjoyment out of them.

I think my fondest memories are of RPGS, the first time I booted up Breath of Fire 3, Final Fantasy VII, Lunar The Silver Star Story, games like that. It was just awe inspiring seeing some of my favorite franchises with amazing color, clarity and some of the best soundtracks the system had to offer. It was truly a magical time.

True. RPGs have the ability to suck the players into a fantastical world full of wonder. Every time I would play an RPG game back in the PS1 days, I would get easily get lost in the world that the game presents. I would savor every place that I visit, I would talk to every NPC I come across with, I would cherish the story being told.

I learned to play Tekken with the PS1, so I'd say that is not only one of my fondest PS1 memory, but also, it's one of the gifts that keeps on giving since I still play the current versions now. Also, I had a lot of fun finishing games and alternating missions with my friends, especially in games like RE and Kagero. Another game worth noting for this system is Twisted Metal, that game provided us all with a lot of enjoyment and late nights.
