I did. And I think it will evolve as a must have.
Playroom is fun. Need it for move support and gesture controls.

Erm,no..a must have is the controller,as I can use my PS4 perfectly fine without a camera.

for my basic use of the PS4, games and bluerays, I see no need for the camera. Unless they come out with some amazing tools for it that make it similar to the kinect with voice commands for controlling the tv and all that.

I personally haven't as it would be a waste of money for me, I'd never use it. If they could make it like XB1 kinect where you can control your console with your voice, then I'd consider buying the camera.

I once considered getting the camera but pulled out at the last minute. There isn't anything down the line right now that can warrant a purchase. Although the Playroom is a lot of fun by the looks of it but I can also see the novelty wearing off very quickly. I never quite like motion sensing stuff, the reason why I didn't buy an Xbox One.

I bought the camera for Just Dance (does not work well at all)....and I use it for nothing else. Waste of money I think

Something that bothers me about the PS4 camera is that it acts as an ingame mic. It bothers me when I opened up CoD:Ghosts and it started to relay my grunts and sighs over to my teammates. I've gotten so many lewd comments about that, and I can't really do much about it other than actually unplugging my camera. (I'm not sure if the newer PS4 update now allows you to disable it, I haven't bothered to tinker with settings yet)

It doesn't work well with Just Dance? That sucks big time. Seems like people would buy it for those type of games. The camera's kinda meh right now. Not really a must-have. Too little commands and not enough games. Only people who wanna stream usually get it.

I have the camera but it sits gathering dust at the moment. I don't even have it plugged in because I dislike how it acts as an in-game mic.
The only reason I'm keeping it is because I'm hoping someone will make a decent fitness game for the PS4. Something similar to Xbox fitness would make my day tbh.

I decided to buy a Sony headset instead of a camera. I wouldn't say it was a bad decision.

The camera will be needed to work with Sony's VR headset Project Morpheus too.
Incase you are interested in that.

Oh didn't realise that, but it makes sense why Morpheus would require it.
I got the camera for a decent price so I think I'll keep it. I bought it because it had the potential to be awesome, I just hope Sony make sure it lives up to it's potential.

It's not really worth it at the moment as far as I can see, there are no good games for it and the controlling of the ps4 is just as easy with a controller. I really hope something good comes out that needs the camera as I have had all the Playstation cameras since the eye toy, waiting for something good.

The only reason Id get the camera would be for the the PS4's future VR headset,Project Morpheus.If it turns out any good that is.

Some people think it's a waste of money. If you can afford to spend money on I think it's great to have. Never had any of these technical problems I keep hearing about. The only problem is the lack of games you can use it with. That will change soon I'm sure.

I am waiting for a wireless camera. My ps4 is on the other side of the room and behind me when I am facing the tv on the other end of the room. No way the current wired version can be used in my setup.
