What do you think about the camera?

When I game, I do it in the dark. The camera would completely take away from that. I tried the PS Move on the PS3 and it was okay, but nothing to write home about. I don't think there would be anything coming out that would make me think that I needed the camera. I guess it could happen, just very doubtful.

Honestly I don't think it's worth it right now. AFAIK the only application that is using it are The Playroom and it could be usefully for streaming. I don't think it's worth spending $60 for.

It can be perfect if you like to sit down and take control that way.
However, i dont really like that and i just like to get around the old fashioned way.

I would definitely recommend. For me, I want the full PS4 experience, and hence, I bought it right out. It is pretty great and has a lot of nice features. I would see this becoming the standard in the near future. Definitely go for it.

I've seen it and I have used it but for the money - Sixty dollars - I can't seen getting it. I enjoyed playing around with it but for my purposes it isn't needed.

Got my camera as present. I even didn't unpack it yet: no games, no use.

Just Dance 2014 uses it but that's about it. Confuses the hell out of me why it's so popular though. I guess a lot of people just wanna stream on Twitch? Idk seems like a pretty pointless device to me unless you stream a lot.

Project Morpheus (Sony's VR headset for PS4) will also require the camera to be able to use it.
(and yes, that comment I know is still games related but just and FYI anyway)

I have the PS Camera and I find it a good accessory. Very comfortable for me because I don't like to wear headsets while playing.
It has a basic defect though: the non-directional microphone. This means that when I play with someone who's also using a PS camera, and one of both didn't place the camera behind the sound source, a terrible, very delayed echo comes out and makes the conversation impossible, or almost. I only tryed with one friend, so I imagine what a mess with more friends.
If there was a directional microphone, the only sound captured would be the one coming out from the mouth (assuming that the camera had been placed at the same height), instead of getting all sounds coming from the speakers, including reverbs and room noise. This strange effect is reduced if both cameras are mounted behind the TV or Hi-Fi speakers, it doesn't bother at all.
