What do you think PS4's will go for on eBay at launch?

If I remember correctly people were paying double or more for the PS3's on eBay when they were first launched 7 or so years ago. Do you think that will be the case this time? I could see people paying $200-300 over the intro price of $399 but I don't think it would go any higher then that. Also do you think Sony will be able to meet the demand?

Hmm, I think that people would try to double the price of the PS4 on eBay but I hope that nobody would take the bait. In order to combat this, Sony should meet the demand for the console. However, I think that this is not a possibility. I think Sony will ship only several thousand units to test the waters and see how it goes. A limited supply might also increase the demand. I don't really know for sure.

Possibly $475 and up. The greedier sellers will offer it at that price. More fair ones will probably have it at $500 or less. Probably folks just looking to unload an extra one for a profit.

Why pay more if you can already pre-order it for the set price? I don't see a need of paying any higher unless I'm missing something. Maybe if it runs out of stock, people would, but I don't see that happening with the PS4 or the Xbox One. I'm pretty sure they're well-stocked on their consoles at the moment.

Seeing how the stock is dropping first as the pre-orders rise quickly everyday, i think this is going to be another case of Nintendo Wii and everyone will put this thing at ridiculous prices.

I don't really see why people would even bother to get it from eBay when Amazon will start shipping it the day it launches. I imagine the price being somewhere close to the retail xbox one, around 499.

Amazon has an unlimited stock of PS4 console? I think they will eventually sell out and ebay will the next best place to get one if everyone is back ordered.

I think I've read somewhere that Sony has increased production rate prior to launch due to the good reception its been getting and the amount of pre-orders they have gotten so far. I think Sony will probably meet most of the demand, but there will always be those who buy a lot and try to sell them on eBay, and I predict they would mark up the price at least 50%-100%. I know I would.

There's always a reason for such increase on price at Ebay. One of such is the demand, which I'm definitely sure would be met by Sony. As I have read in journals and news on ther internet, that the PS4 would not be region restricted. I guess this means it would be released at the same time worldwide with same specification and design.

My bet would be that there wouldn't be such high increase on price as with the PS3. Everyone who shop online would not want to exceed paying a $50 - $100 more if they are in a hurry to get it. Though, I know the wise ones like me would just order from Sony Playstation online store. It could just be a bad business to have it listed on Ebay for a huge profits.

If they run out of stock at the big retailers online and instore then the higher prices on Ebay can be justified, but if there's plenty of stock, people aren't going to be paying much extra to buy it on Ebay when they can get it elsewhere for cheaper.

The only time I know when the PS3s were selling for ridiculous amounts on there was with the first edition 60GB versions that could play PS2 games as well.
