What genre is your favorite?

I like games that have a story. Action is fine, but if it's nothing but action without a plot, I don't usually like a game as much. So, what's your favorite genre? Do you like action, suspense, mystery, or some other kind of game?

I like platformers best, and those tend to have simplistic plots. I suppose they count as action, maybe? If I'm playing something more plot-heavy, though, I think I like adventure and mystery best.

I don't like spending a lot of time learning a story so I'm the opposite of you. I like skill games and brain games. I'm not good at games that require a lot of imagination either.

I really like adventure games, which RPGs tend to be. I appreciate a good plot, too, although sometimes the plot takes over the game so much that the gameplay suffers!

I don't want the story to take over the gameplay but I want the story to be a good one. I prefer simulation games or RPGs. It really depends on the game. I've been known to play a puzzle game every once in a while too.
