What Happened to Destiny

Remember when we all first heard about Destiny? When people got super hyped for this game? What happened? I haven't heard anyone talk about it in months, no rumors, no pics, no speculation on forums. It's like the project doesn't even exist. I'm starting to wonder if it was cancelled and no one told us.

Yeah Destiny certainly hasn't died out. As Oberon has posted, the Beta will be coming.

Well now we know that a demo is being released so hopefully that gets the buzz back up because before I saw this thread I had completely forgotten that Destiny existed. It just got lost in the shuffle of The Last of Us, GTA V, and Beyond: Two Souls. It was easy to forget about it because no one was talking about it. There has been no info on it until recently. But hopefully with this demo we can really get to a point where Destiny comes into its own.

I'm hoping to see more of what excited people when we first heard about Destiny. We basically forgot all about it because of the amazing games that came out later in this year and the devs have been pretty quiet about it. Hopefully the demo blows everyone away and really gets interest back up. I mean this is supposed to be the game that will show us what the PS4 can really do.

It seems like a fun game with lots of play time and opportunities in-game to wreak havoc and level up. The open-world seems to be exceptionally vivid and beautiful. I saw the first demo/presentation they did and I already wanted to play the game. Will it be online only?

It looks like an awesome game. It's also made by Bungie, so it can't be a bad game.
I just hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as Dust 514 (No players, small maps, pay2win).

Yeah, I mean they are putting a lot into this project and the demo is supposed to show what Destiny is all about. There is so much hype happening now because of this that I need it to be good. I was super pumped about it, but there's no evidence that Destiny is going to be good because we haven't seen it yet. I'm going to be realistic until the demo reviews come in.

Destiny is still on track to be a absolutely amazing game. The only reason the hype has died down is because Bungie is not releasing much new information. And with the new consoles and games hitting store shelves it's easy to forget about a game still in development.
