What is one of your favorite little-known Playstation games?

One of the first games I played on the PS2 was Ring of Red. It was a mech-centric game with relatively simple mechanics, but there was an element of addiction with setting up a perfect shot to blast at your enemy.

Skip to around 2:45 to see what I mean by that.

Monster Seed for the PS 1. It was a little known game and received mediocre game reviews. But I liked its style. It had you collecting monsters that you could control, level up, and aid you in battle ala Pokemon. It was highly addictive and the turn based strategy like gameplay was great. It kept me playing and playing. I would even go as far to say that it's better than Pokemon. :D

I loved King Kong for the Playstation 2. It had a pretty long story and really nice game mechanics. It was, of sorts, a horror game. You would have limited ammo and would have to use spears or dinosaur bones as weapons at times. You'd have to battle giant centipedes, crabs, raptors and the terrifying t-rex in some levels. It was very genuine to the King Kong movie but had tons of extra purely game specific levels and happenings. It's definitely the best movie game I've ever played and among my favorite PS2 games easily.

Wow, I never heard of King Kong for the PS 2. Never was a fan of the film either. But you say that it plays like a survival horror game? I love that genre. Maybe I would try to hunt this game down and check it out myself. Maybe I would enjoy it too as much as you did.

Incredible Crisis. A flatout crazy music rhythm game, so much fun, very difficult though.

Closest thing I could compare it to would be Space Channel 5.

Vandal Hearts. It's not really that unknown but in my opinion it never got the credit that it had to get due to its qualities.

Graffiti Kingdom on the PS2 was awesome. It's a game about drawing your own monsters then fighting with them in an Action RPG-esque battle system. The game was destroyed by reviewers because the voice acting, story, writing, animations, etc. are pretty awful to the point of hilarity. If you can get past the low budget-ness of the game, it can be really enjoyable. Also, the music in the game is either a hit or a miss when it comes to greatness.

I still find Digimon World to be one of those games that is a hit or miss. Everyone i recommended the game hated or loved it, too bad that i never managed to finish it because the PAL version is impossible to complete because of a glitch.

I have fond memories of that game, but there were many times when I was very frustrated with it. It took me a while to understand how to even level up a digimon. I really liked the sequel, which took a completely different direction.

It's that game that I was trying to remember the name of in the other thread. I played it when I was in middle school and sold it when my system broke. Pong The Next Level is the title name. I plan on buying it again in the next few weeks as I recently purchased a working system. The game is wild, as you progress. The pong balls multiply and fly across the screen at insane speeds. You'd think that a Pong game would be boring but this game is actually exciting and hardly anyone knows about it.

I think my cousin had this game. Yeah. The thing about it was that in truth the things reviewers hated weren't too far beyond the pale of other games that reviewers loved. I guess you could say for me that it was so horrible it was hilarious and so I really rather liked it. I think he was going to give me the game, but his dog got a hold of it. Shame. I haven't seen a copy of it since.

This game sounds awesome, typically far prefer games like this then standard AAA games. I may have to try and track down a copy.

I like Demolition Racer. This game is not well known, but I love playing it. I love this game because you get to wreck cars as you race. I love doing the move Death From Above it is a wicked move and hard to do
