What kind of game could benefit from a larger open world?

I want my world to be alive, people running around and doing things and not just waiting for you to do something. For those who don't want to search for NPC's I'm sure that they could just make sure that they stand out by letting you select it.

Well I would like Tenchu to be an Open World really like the Tenchu games during PS1 and PS2 days we haven't seen any ninja type of game that is really an open world not counting the Ninja Gaiden

Tenchu and Ninja Gaiden weren't actually open world. Those were just sizable, non-corridor stages (with a linear story).

I'd like that too. Dragon Age Origins touched on that with the two guys gossiping. I'd like more of that in open world games among everyone. I know they'd only be able to do a few lines based on current game events or random chatter...like not full on conversations at all, but it would be great.

FPS games like Battlefield don't need bigger maps, they need better point placing like the point placing in Bad Company 2. The maps in that were 20x better simply because the map placement made it an equal challenge for each team. CoD games could do with a map upgrade, but lets be honest, they won't be going on for that many years.

An open world game set in the Lord of the rings universe would be nice. I heard EA was working on one a few years ago to compete with Elder Scrolls series, but who knows what happened to it.

I want to see Uncharted 4 go open-world. Not just a bit expanded, but, like Skyrim! I do like Two Worlds II, I'd like to see that game again, though it was open world, it could have gone deeper than that. Besides Uncharted 4, I want an airplane game that'll take us everywhere and in a ton of different areas too. Like GTA but bigger and able to fly through and destroy everything.

Fantasy games tend to do the best with a large open world since it's based on the journey and exploring different locations...so I'd like more fantasy games. On Xbox I would've liked for Fable to be actually open world, a new Jade Empire that is open world like that wuxia MMORPG, and on Nintendo home consoles the Legend of Zelda could do with an open world. Like Hyrule always seemed so small and uneventful. People would be out traveling during a world crisis.

I want a Superman game with a huge open world city that extends to space. Imagine you could fly from ground into space without loading screen that would be awesome. Superman Returns had a huge city but sadly that game was way too bad. I really want to see a Superman game done right for once.

Are you nuts? Superman games should and always will be done sh**tily :p

...if one was made beyond adequate-at-best who knows what will happen? That's like saying "I want the open Pandora's Box, but limme press this red button that fires nuclear warheads all willy nilly first and unleash this virus that causes zombie-like...stuff, okay?"

Daimashin is the kind of person who likes to mess with the balance of power in the universe  Knock it off, Daimashin.

Now while he is a madman, I will say that superhero open world games are a favorite of mine. I just think that it's hard to make Superman interesting. It might be fun to play him through one well done game though.
