What was the last movie you watched?

What was the last movie you watched and how was it?

Just watched "The Loved Ones"

Was pretty good. A few cringe-worthy moments (mainly, the drill scene)

I see you have the man of steel photo as your avatar. Oh man! I was trying so hard to watch it last night...but it wouldn't play. The last movie I watched was "Rid****". It wasn't bad. Thought it would have been better, but it was boring or short of action nonetheless.

Man of Steel
8.5/10

I had heard mixed reviews, so I wasn't going into it with any expectations. I thought it was really good. The fight scenes were dope; it was like real life Dragon Ball Z. The effects overall were fantastic. There were barely any instances of cheesy dialogue, which was a definite plus. And the dude who played Zod was pretty much perfect for the role.

MACHETE KILLS

Oh man. How disappointing. I loved the original Machete. Was so fun. This just seemed to drag on and just wasn't that... fun. Been looking forward to this one, but I'm crushed :(

5/10

I just watch "Our idiot brother" the other day.

Not a half bad movie. Its about a easy going guy who gets busted with drugs and goes to jail. When he gets out he has to live with his sisters since his girlfriend kicked him off the farm he use to live at and all 3 girls are a mess. Like seriously all 3 girls are just dumb, one cheats on her girlfriend, the other gets coexert into writing a less than glamorous story about someone who runs a support group, and the last sister is just irrational and gets cheated on by her husband and when she finds out blames the brother like its his fault -_-

But the Main character of the story is pretty cool, hes like the only rational person in the whole movie who is just a little bit too naive and honest for his own good.

Only God Forgives, same director as Drive. Was really good but a little slow .....felt like a David Lynch throwback. Loved the cinematography.

I agree with you! Christian Bale do fantastic roll in this movie. Fighter is a really nice biographical sports drama film and I appreciate the direction of David O. Russell.

Yeah, that was a really good one. Bale's body can certainly handle some extreme situations.

Last movie I saw was Gravity. Visually, I thought it was gorgeous. Even if parts of the story itself seemed a little silly.

Did you see it in IMAX 3D? It was like one big roller coaster. Was cool how they were able to capture the anti-gravity shots. They said they had a 12 wire-rig set up and moved Bullock like a marionette puppet. I think I'm a little more partial to his Children of Men movie though.

Thor 2
8/10

I only saw this film because I had a coupon for 2 free tics that expired soon, and I used it. I saw the first one, and didn't really dig it, so I wasn't expecting to be taken aback with the sequel. The visuals in Thor 2 are insane. It has the best CGI I've ever seen in a film. Nothing really looked out of place next to real backgrounds or people. The dark elves are badass. Plenty of cheesy dialogue, but it's a Marvel film, so it's expected. But 15-20 minutes of crappy dialogue isn't much to bear when there's well over an hour of great action. Great surprise.

Project X

I'd give it a 6/10. It was a pretty good no-brainer, but I hated the romance plot in it for some reason.
But holy sh** was that party epic? Also, the midget was a BAMF!

The Raid
8/10

If you like martial arts and violence, you're going to enjoy this film very much. Also, great cinematography despite the low budget.
