What was the last movie you watched?

Well, I'm currently watching Thor: The Dark World for the second time, since I originally watched a very bad copy of it, so I guess that? Before that I can't really remember what I watched I'm afraid...Prisoners I think, but I'm not too sure to be honest.
 
For a Good Time Call... - 8/10

I'm so embarrassed by this but I really enjoyed this film. I think you could class it as a "chick flick" but I'll just have to add this to my shame list. All the cameos were gold, especially Kevin Smith.
 
lol..I seen this a little while back too and yeah,more of a 'chick flick' I think but I enjoyed it too.

6.5/10 from me.
 
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - 8/10

Have to admit I really like these two Hobbit movies more then the original LOTR trilogy. I don't know what it is but I just enjoy them more. Not to say the original trilogy isn't good, because it's quite the opposite. This one beats the original Hobbit by just a fraction. But I have to say, the ending is evil. Those who have seen it will know what I mean. Eagerly anticipating the next installment, There and Back Again.
 
Last Hurrah For Chivalry (8/10). John Woo film from 1979, one of my favorites from one of my favorite directors and studios. Pretty standard Golden Harvest release with some good fight scenes. Best quote of the movie: "My name is Pray...because I pray for those who touch my sword." I first saw this back in 1999-2000 back when Plex (the cheap, non-premium version of the Plex family stations that show whatever is being shown on one of their stations that day in the line up--like Plex on Thursday would show whatever Action Plex had on that day...usually anime and kung fu films).

Watched another John Woo classic afterwards A Better Tomorrow (10/10) organized crime drama with fallen gangsters taking on a boss that used to be their young boy 10 or so years prior. Chow Yun Fat and Ti Lung steal the show. Mark's death scene near the end got one manly tear.

...just one.

I love John Woo's heroic bloodshed/bullet dramas.
 
Muppets from Space - 7/10

Really like the Muppet movies. Never really gave this one a chance though. Saw it about 10 years ago and didn't remember a thing. Glad I watched it again as it was pretty good as always. Some good cameos.

Rumble in the Bronx - 6/10

Gotta love Jackie Chan right? I have much respect for him performing his own stunts. But it makes me cringe when he comes close to death a few times lol. The film is ok. I mean it's cheesy and typical Jackie Chan, but that's not exactly a bad thing. The dubbing adds more comedy then it should though.

I can talk Muppets/Henson company for awhile. I got that movie for my nephew and we both enjoyed it. Gave my sister the show Dinosaurs to watch with my nephew and told her to brace for the downer ending.

My girlfriend loves Jackie Chan. I always liked 70s-early 80s Jackie, but preferred Sammo more.

Fargo - 7/10

Was pretty good. Loving the accents.
 
The last movie I watch was Escape Plan with Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I saw it tonight with the family while we ate hot wings on Demand. It was a really good movie full of action from the beginning to the end. You would expect an action pack movie with these two actors starring in it.
 
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 3D.

While Im not Lord of the Rings or Hobbit fan I can appreciate them for what they are.
This one doesnt get many good user reviews over at imdb but I thought it was better than the first at least.
But these movies are a little long for what they are to me too.
I watched it in 3D and thought it was fine,depth overall was good with a few not cheesy pop out bits.
Not to mention Evangeline Lilly who played Tauriel the female elf is easy on the eyes.:o

Anyway,for me Id say an OK watch,6.5/10 but if you are a LoTR's fan add a few on that I guess.
 
A couple of weeks ago I saw the new Capitan America Movie.

Last night I watched Man of Steel for the first time.
 
Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 6/10

Out of all the Marvel characters, the Cap seems to be my least favourite. Whilst I do think this one was better then the First Avenger, this one was just ok. Different from all the other Marvel films, seemed more "grown-up" I guess I would say. More of a political-thriller film then dumb popcorn fun. Falcon was pretty good. Hope to see him in future Marvel films. But all in all, it was just ok. Nothing to exciting.
 
I preferred Man of Steel to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but with just heroes I prefer Captain America more. That said, The Winter Soldier was much better than the First Avenger which was just...bleh for me. Not exactly slow paced, but not all that exciting or anything. I'd give Man of Steel 7 and Captain America: TWS a 6.5.
 
I'm in the same boat as Razor. I've always preferred Cap to Superman and Marvel to DC overall, but Man of Steel was such a good movie--as was The Winter Soldier. I'd probably rate them similarly with MoS being the winner.
 
I just watched Se7en yesterday and I have to say, that movie was great. Great pacing, great suspense and great actors. The last movie I watched in the cinema was Transcendence, that movie, well I kinda liked it but I have mixed feelings about that movie.
