What was the last movie you watched?

Godzilla (2014) - 8/10

Had been eagerly anticipating this one since it was announced. I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to Godzilla except that I've seen Godzilla vs. King Kong and an early 1990's version. And I guess I saw the Hollywood Godzilla version starring Matthew Broderick which the less said, the better. But how awesome was this movie! Seriously, probably the best film I've seen so far this year. So jaw-droppingly good. Everything about it works so well, almost. The only thing I didn't like about this film was... Aaron Taylor-Johnson. To me, I just find him I don't know... bland? This goes for Kick-Ass too. I mean he was tolerable in this but I think the role could of been played much better by somebody else. But that's just me and my only complaint for this film. Cannot wait until the Blu-ray release!

Im sorry but this time I have to agree with the majority,I found myself losing interest after 25 mins.
I think the idea is OK but just doesnt work to well,plus the fact that Seth McFarlane seems crap in movies made it worse.

Yeah,a few were good,the last one defo and certain other scene which I dont wanna say either except it involves a certain special car..lol

Are you kidding me Haze? Ted is miles better than this.

Overall I would say 4/10 tops.

Was OK,Seth Rogan film.Most of the movies he's in are better though.

I thought this film was going to be UTTER pants, i don't do things like the blair witch project and rubbish like that, but flippin heck i LOVE this film!!


Max Manus - Man of War
Another great true story and some great characters

Another True story not a war field but set just before the second world war
They have dramatised the events somewhat but the principle of what happened is exactly spot on

Bad Neighbours - 4/10 - Completely annoying from start to finish. Usually I can tolerate Seth Rogen in anything - except this. Had a few good laughs, but I've already forgotten what they were lol. Trailer made it look great but all the best jokes were actually in the trailer!

Muppets Most Wanted - 6/10 - Probably my least favourite Muppets film out of all of them. Of course it was still good and fun, but I can't quite put my finger on it but something felt... missing?

They Came Together - 8/10 - I completely loved this film. Me and my fiancee had been anticipating this one as we love the cast. And it was much better then we expected. Totally bizarre at times but it worked so well and had some very big laughs. Definitely a must-own when it is released on Blu-ray! Loved it!
 
Transcendence - 7.5/10 - Been interested in this since the first trailer was revealed, and thankfully it was pretty good. Very good story and great characters. The only one complaint I have is Johnny Depp. I don't know if it's just me, but it seemed like he just didn't seem interested in anything, like he didn't enjoy being a part of this film. So I probably could say that they should of gone with a different actor. Which is a shame because I really like Depp. Anyways, great film!

Started watching that the other night but only about 45 mins. What I saw I enjoyed, but nothing that's going to "stand out" really.
 
The last movie I have watched would have to be Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods. I give the movie a 8.8 out of 10 because the movie lacked what everyone wanted to see and that was Goku and Vegeta fusing to fight against Lord Bill. I think what would have made the story even better was if Lord Bills instructor fought because he taught him everything he knows and it would have been an epic fight scene. There was plenty of stuff the actual movie lacked, I wanted to see Goku turn Super Saiyan Four or possible fuse with Vegeta or see Goten and Trunks fuse also and turn Super Saiyan three against Lord Bills. I also remember watching 22 Jump street in the movie and I would give that a 7 out of 10 because I can only think of how bad the love scene was and the ending I think was not as good as 21 Jump Street.
 
Noah (2014) - 6/10 - Dang. Had no idea this movie would be going that dark! I thought it would just be like a disaster-type movie (similar to 2012, but obviously a biblical tale) but it was pretty good. As I said, it gets real dark at some points. If you've seen this film, you know what I'm talking about. Jor-El...er I mean Russell Crowe was really good. I've warmed up to him more as an actor. Wasn't a big fan of his, but I'm slowly changing my mind. The reason I only gave it a 6 is because the hype kind of killed it. I mean it's good, but not something I'm going to watch again.
 
The last movie I watch was Best Man Holiday. It was very good and very emotional to watch. A whole lot better than the first version.
 
Transformers: Age of Extinction - 8.5/10

I feel I might be frowned upon for this one, but I absolutely loved this one. It is by far the best Transformers film yet. Easily stomps on the original trilogy. The only things I didn't like about this film were the classic "Bay-isms" (referring to Michael Bay's film-making here just in case you wern't sure what I was on about) which were obvious product placement and the overuse of the "America! F*** Yeah!" nods such as the flag in almost every scene it seemed lol. Definitely a purchase on blu-ray!
 
Im sure it may be good but Haze,Im getting tired of these movies,I dont even know how many there have been now.More than the Saw movies? :p
 
Well, 4 so they're technically only half of how many Saw movies there were. But wait, there were only 7 Saw movies right?

I tell you what there are too many of... Paranormal Activity!
 
300: Rise of an Empire - 7.5/10

Great companion to the original 300. Beautifully shot. Every frame was just great to look at. I do feel the first one might be just a tiny bit better then this one, but it was still very good. Would of been a treat to see this in 3D I imagine. I do wish I watched the original 300 first as I was a little lost because it has been ages since I've seen the first one and I actually think my brother has had my copy of it for over a year lol. Recommended.
 
The Raid: Redemption - 7.5/10

Took me a while to see this but glad I did because it was pretty good. I'm not going to compare it to Dredd as technically The Raid was released first. The action scenes were just terrific. Some of the best martial arts I've seen in a while (The best I've ever seen was in the original Ong Bak). A couple of good twists too. Looks like I'll be checking out the second film :) Recommended.
