What was the last movie you watched?

Tusk

Yeah, that odd Kevin Smith movie where
he turns Justin Long into a walrus
.
A little funny, quite bizare and slightly disturbing.
Michael Parks is great too.

5/10

Now Kevin Smith, please concentrate on Clerks 3.

Yeah saw Tusk too and, just was disappointed. Definitely hope to God he gives it his all in Clerks III!

Been watching a ton of movies lately (going back to my first love - movies!) But I'll only mention what I watched today.

The Lone Ranger (2013) - 7/10
I don't know why people hate this. There's a very interesting bit of trivia on IMDB about why this film gets hated on which is very interesting and very true. But I enjoyed it a lot. I love westerns and yeah, Johnny Depp seems like an odd choice for the role of Tonto - but I can overlook stuff like that for the sake of pure enjoyment, which this movie gave me.

Dances With Wolves - 8/10
Another Western? Well I wouldn't really call this a western to be honest, but that's just me. Anyway, this film was on my "bucket list of films to watch" and it took me a long time to get around to watching it, but boy am I glad I did as this film is fantastic and beautiful in both scenery and meaning. Never been overly big on Kevin Costner (except for of course - Pa Kent in Man of Steel. Gee I wonder why :p) but I really enjoyed him in this film. Truly one to see at least once in your lifetime. Highly recommended!

Agree with Dances with Wolves,a top movie.
If you wanna see the more modern version watch Avatar, its the same thing. :Onya

But sorry,I also say Lone Ranger isnt that good, its worth a watch but honestly, not great at all.

--------

Horrible Bosses 2.

Silly but funny moments. If you liked the first you should like this.

6/10

-----------

Dumbe and Dumber To

Seem more like a TV movie for some reason.
20 years is a long time for a sequal. Was OK but not as good as the original.

4.5/10

Yeah I thought it was ok. It could of been much better and it felt like it really wasn't necessary. I mean it took them 20 years and it seems like it's a little too late. I would give it more like a 6 though. But yeah, could of been much better.

Lucy - 4/10

Really wasn't my cup of tea. Started off good but by the end I really wasn't too into it. Plus side: it's short. I mean I like all the actors in it. Especially Morgan Freeman. But this film just got... too goofy? I know I'm not meant to take it seriously - but yeah. Just not for me.

Lone Survivor 6-10

It was a good movie filled with action but ultimately the story was flimsy and although based on true events, I don't feel it was executed well.

A little embarrassed about this one, but not really as it was awesome!

G.I. Joe The Movie (1987) - 7.5/10

Yep, this one:

I was in the mood to watch a 80's cartoon classic full of action. Would of gone with the Transformers animated movie back in the 80's, but went with this one instead. And I have to say it actually rocked. It was exactly what I wanted. I'll add this to my guilty pleasure movies. Now to find it on Blu-ray!

the interview 7/10, it was freaking hilarious.
night at the museum 3 7/10
when they all said there goodbyes robin williams said his goodbye, it was him actualy saying goodbye and it was actualy pretty sad

Fury

www.imdb.com/title/tt2713180

The tank battle scene between 4 shermans and 1 Tiger was OK but the rest wasnt very good.
Often cliche and cheesy moments and the last battle scene was truly ridiculous.
Wonder how much Brad Pitt got paid for this one.
Was OK for a bit of action but not realistic from other movies Ive watched.

3/10

Interstellar

Classis scifi, overall not bad but perhaps getting a little ridiculous at the end, still it is scifi so...
Also a little too long.

Worth a watch.

6/10

hey i thought that was my newest favorite movie, 9/10 :p. its your oppinion though.

I get why you like it,I can understand all the positive user reviews at IMDB but for me its not quite that good.

The Interview 8/10.

As an American it was my patriotic duty to watch this movie. All jokes aside. The movie was funny and a great watch. People just need to accept free speech.

A movie shouldn't be an international incident.

Went and say Avengers Age of Ultron (at a gold class cinema :o ) with missus and thought it was OK.
Dont think it was better than the first,or worse.Just more of the same. Was a good watch as far as action pop corn movies go.
Best things I think were James Spader's voice as Ultron (unaltered voice btw) and
>>>>click link 'The Vision'
was OK too.

I would say 7/10

IT FOLLOWS

First 3/4 - 7/10
Last 1/4 - 1/10

Odd rating isn't it? Let me explain spoiler free. It was a great suspenseful set-up and really liked where it was going. Then the last few minutes happened and it totally ruined the entire 100 minutes for me. I'll just put it this way - I am sick to death of films that don't have an actual ending! I can't stand sequel baiting. Unfortunately this movie ends without any sense of closure. I get that some horror/thriller films do this. There is a right way and a wrong way. And well, you can guess which way this film ended. Another negative is that the characters are just so bland. Sorry for the rant :p

Agree on the ending.
After I seen it with the missus we said "What? Dunno about that ending" lol

Still, over all it was OK.I especially liked the 80's style horror music score..:Onya

I would it as 6/10

Yeah forgot to mention a big plus for the movie was definitely the score. And the John Carpenter-esqe shots :)

Maggie - 7/10

Was pretty good. Reminded me of The Last of Us a little bit. Always great to see Arnie flex his dramatic acting muscles :) Slow moving, yet it works for this kind of movie. Great performance from the title character too. Probably something I wouldn't watch again, but glad I saw it.

The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - 7/10

Again, was pretty good. Kind of went back to the older vibe of Spongebob I feel, which is a good thing. Plenty of laugh out loud moments. And the CGI was very surprising in how good it looked, was and felt. Felt natural. And who doesn't love Patrick ey? Great movie for both kids and adults. Recommended.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 with my girlfriend. 10/10. It is one of the greatest computer animated movies I've ever seen. Not only from a technical standpoint but also the characterizations are extremely well written. My girlfriend cried during the climax of the movie that's how emotionally invested in the characters you get.
