What would the graphics on the PS4 look like?

With every new game console, graphics are being moved up a notch. With the PS4 now in the works, what do you think would the in-game graphics look like? Will it look like the cut scenes on the PS3 or will it look even better? What about 2D graphics? Could it further be improved?

Didn't they show some in-game footage during the PS4 announcement conference? Like the new Killzone game?

Well anyways, here's this:

Wow! The graphics look very crisp and clear. Would love to see what the graphics looks like in other games.

It's hard to trust in a tech demo that doesn't base itself on gameplay, but the graphics. Yes, it looks good, but will it keep being that good when you need to adapt it to a real game?
Also, that is one engine, what about other companies, will it look that good?

I'm expecting it to be outstanding, I hope I am not disappointed. It's hard to determine the above video in terms of graphics. They always show cut-scenes and such and it doesn't give you much insight into the actual game-play. I can't wait to see for real though! From what I have seen of WatchDogs, it's going to be amazing.

I can't wait to see them first hand! I'm super excited for the PS4. A next-gen engine with next-gen games makes, for me, a very hopeful system and experience.

The Playstation always had great graphics. With the PS3 the graphics capability wasn't used to its potential. In some instances people preferred the 360 over the PS3!

I think it is more on how the game is developed and how the make it work with the PS3 system.

They look great, just always remember there is a difference between the demo game play and the promotional videos for the games. I've purchased a few games where the commercials and trailers look great, but when the game play is nowhere near the quality of the promotional videos.

Great questions, but I do trust them when it comes to graphics. After all, I'm sure a lot of us were surprised and pleased with the jump on quality when the PS3 first came out. With every version, I always find myself thinking that the past was the peak, and they can go no further or at least only make minor improvements on it, and then they come out with something completely different, truly surprising and worthy of awe so I'm sure it will be the same with this one.

Also, that clip is giving me needs, Haze. Hrrgh.

Honestly, I'm not yet that impressed. The recent teaser clips that they have released just look like extremely polished PS3/Xbox 360 games. In my eyes, I think that the graphics still don't show a broad enough leap when it comes to improvements. I'm not that sure though since I have weak eyesight.

Xbox 360 and PS3 release titles didn't look amazing either, particularly the Xbox 360's. Go check out some screenshots of Project Dark Zero, you'll probably be quite shocked. I think that the quality will get a lot better in the years to come and will close the gap on PC quality graphics as developers become more accustomed to developing for the new platform.

I honestly don't know how they can beat HD Graphics on the PS3? I mean where do they go from here? I mean yeh they can make games a bit more crisper and smarter and Improve the graphics a little seeing as how they have more storage space for each game with the PS4 so graphics don't have to be converted down to a lower quality.

But really, how much better HD Quality can you get without reaching the limits that HD graphics can give you?

They can improve quality of games on bigger screen sizes so they don't stretch the graphics out, but for a normal person playing a normal sized HD TV - I'm not sure how to beat what we already have... Sony, prove me wrong!
