What's the best or the worst accessory for the PS4?

I know the console is still new and there are still many great things to come. I'm sure you've heard of many releases and new things coming to the console, what do you think will be the best or worst thing you can get for the console? All I know is that I want a controller, the console and the games of course. What else is there or are they all useless?

If it's anything like last time we'll see a gun-shaped controller for shooters that looks overwhelmingly ugly, with the Move 2.0 glowing 'balls' or whatever they're called sticking out the front. A friend had one and they were as rubbish and plasticky as I imagined they would be.

Also, those crazy spider-like controller add-ons. I see they could be useful for people with MS etc. but the one I'm thinking of (picture's in another thread) is no use to man nor beast. I'm sure we'll see the usual litany of 'cooling pads' and the like, too.

Unless they make good games for it, then I'm premptively saying that the Move 2.0 is going to be the worst accessory. I think the only really good game was Puppeteer but you could also use the controller so there's that. I hear Double Fine is getting involved with making games for the camera so if they could also do something for the Move 2.0 that would save it in my eyes.

I know a lot of people have been complaining about the quality of the PS4's stock headset, I can't really say much for it but 3rd party headsets are cheap to pick up.

I like gun shaped controllers as well. They remind me of old NES games and it was fun. If you make them orange or a color that doesn't resemble a real gun then I don't think they are that harmful. I am thinking along the lines of the blue Time Crisis guns. Those were cool and vibrated.

I agree that Move 2.0 is going to be another useless gimmick. If Sony want to make it worthwhile, they'll have to come up with really good ways to use it. The Move games for the PS3 are so little and the mechanics were half baked made me regret buying it last time. I'm going to need a lot of convincing this time to get me to buy the Move 2.0.

Are the cooling pads the one that cool your hand during gameplay because of...whatever. Intense gameplay or some science? Because I really hate those cooling pads. It's like a useless accessory.

I meant the ones you put the console on, they have extra fans and the like. My brother had one and it destroyed his xbox in weeks. Christ only knows how, but it did.

Perhaps having an external cooling fan messed with the console's internal cooling in that it confuses when and to when not to use its own fan,I have heard stories like this.

Weird, I've been using these extension fans for a long time and I've never had any problems before. I used on for my PS2 slim and it worked fairly well. I also bought one for the 360 that installs at the back and have been using it till now without anything breaking. I think there is an add-on fan for the PS4 that is going to come out soon, I saw a picture and it looks kind of cool.

Yeah my brothers had a baseplate but clipped on at the back. It used the power brick socket and had another one at the back to plug the power in. I'd never use one after his experience.

Playstation Move was awsome and way ahead of its time.

Those of you saying it was rubbish obviously bever tried archery with twin move controllers or the disc golf... both from sports champions.

the fact that there were not many good titles made for the move was a shame on the developers for lack of imagination...

once we get VR when Morpheus finally reaches release - the move controllers will be the natural way to track the position of both of your arms in virtual space - its going to be AWSOME...

Ahead of its time? I think you're mistaken. Don't get me wrong, I love my ps3 and 4 but the Wii Remote was well before any move controls on ps3 or Xbox. Before that we had a tablet and mouse for Mario paint, and before that Nintendo had the power glove and u-force (look it up).

You can't even compare the technology of a Wii controller with the fully motion tracked PS move.... Not even in the same ball park technology wise I'm afraid. You've clearly failed to grasp the PS moves capabilities if you think it is....

The PS move and thankfully the dual shock 4 which has aquired all its technology was ahead of its time so much so the developers didn't know what to do with it.

The feeling of connectivity holding a virtual table tennis bat in your hand and seing it move precisely in all six axis on the screen is remarkable and has not been achieved by any other console. Still to this date.....

A tennis game on the Wii you get the same shot if you swing the wii controller in any direction. It still relies on timing and speed of swing only to gauge the shot. On PS move I can slice the ball and even hit it with the edge of the bat.

The Wii had no idea where in the room it was positioned and only a very vague idea it was facing the TV because of the sensor bar which was simp!y a couple of infra red LEDs picked up by a low resolution sensor on the Wii remote its self.

Now vr is here too its only a matter of time before we are dual wielding machine guns pointing each in different directions (with a PS move in each hand) and choosing which guns sights to look down just by looking in that direction with our head.

Not to mention what Lucus arts could do with the PS move and vr.... Imagine a light sabre game with real motion tracked moves and blocks etc instead of press square to block and triangle to attack.

Go watch all the GDC Morpheus demos... There's one guy throws his sword and tries to catch it in the other hand. Reaches down picks something off the floor etc etc.

Can't wait for it all to come together. And the PS move has been out years...... How the hell is that not ahead of its time...

With regards to people discussing cooling fans I bought a PS3 cooling fan (for fat console) and one for slim and both worked really well. Its not to stop your internal fan, moreover provide extra circulation and help remove the hot air. They both worked perfectly and kept my console relatively cool.

I personally think the best accessory would have to be PlayStation accessory Wireless Stereo Headset. The reason I think that the headset was the best choice for this because it was compatible with my computer, which meant that I could use them on my computer as headphones and defiantly saved me money. If I had a second choice of what was the best accessory it would be the controllers, how could anyone forget that the controllers are the most of important! The controllers are like the head of the PlayStation four and the body is the console is body. The controllers themselves are pretty durable and I cannot remember many times when they have broken on me.

Does PS+ count as an accessory? If not, the best accessory is definitely a headset--of any kind! The worst is easily the camera.
