What's your favorite cart racing game on the PS1/PS2/PSP?

What's your favorite cart racing game spanning from the PS1 to the PS2 and PSP? Mine is Crash Team Racing. It still is my favorite cart racing game to date. The controls are still surprisingly tight; everything from the turns, to the drifts, to the jumps. The level design was great, the character design was great, and the power ups were varied and none were too cheap or overpowered.

I absolutely loved Crash Nitro Cart. I remember getting that game a pouring tons of hours into that game trying to unlock all the characters and perfect every track. Crash Bandicoot is the perfect nitro cart series too because of all the characters and the art style. I'm giving a special honorable mention to Mortal Kombat Armageddon's cart racing... tons of fun.

I know everyone loves all of the Crash racing games but my personal favorite was Crash Team Racing. All of them were pretty good but I have the most memories with that specific game. I even re-purchased it on the Playstation Network recently just to play it again for nostalgia.

Also, I actually completely forgot about MK Armageddon's cart racing mini-game until LuckyPupil mentioned it. That was pretty fun and I remember my friends and I joking around on it a lot.

I love Gran Turismo 1 and R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 for the PS 1. For the PS 2, I love Gran Turismo 3A Spec and Burnout Revenge. These racers have stolen much of my time. But during the time of the PS 2, my interest in racing has somewhat diminished. Still, I found these two racing games for the PS 2 fun nonetheless.

Mine is also crash team racing that used to be the funnest game in its generation if i'm honest i used to just play it constantly.

My favorite cart racing game that is on the PlayStation one would have to be Twisted Metal. I really liked that the game was really unconventional compared to many other racing games out at the time. I think a major factor in the game being so popular was the characters of the game. They were so crazy and vibrant that they added a nice type of flare to the game which sets it apart from other racing games.

Crash Nitro Cart was my favorite racing game. The game was very exciting and fast paced. The game was enjoyable every time I played it.
