"Where Can I Find A PS4?" Thread

I think I'll just wait for Black Friday now.
You should, since it's almost time for it and you'll probably get a great deal out of it, if it's not a price drop on the actual console, there's probably going to be discounts for bundles or even for the games.

I would highly doubt a price drop on the console this close after release. I could see price drops on accessories (headsets, etc...) and bundled deals. Really can't see the console going on sale.

They probably won't drop console prices yet, but with Black Friday coming stores will be releasing their grips on what they have including bundles and that's where you'll save. Plenty of stores will have PS4's and games, and controllers and while I'm not planning on buying a console I might buy 3 controllers if there's a deal.

Black Friday is a good place to buy a new console, but it is not a guarantee they will lower the price for the PS4 on Black Friday.

Hi! if you haven't pre-ordered one the only way to get one is waitning for new releases after winter. You'll have to wait until next year (beggining) to buy your PS4. This is due to the fact that so many people want the PS4 and they haven't made so many consoles for everybody... Sorry :)

What are you talking about? There are plenty of places to get a PS4 before winter. You could deal with the holiday rush or you could be smart and go to less busy stores. Everyone is going to be cramming Walmart, Gamestop/Eb Games, or Best Buy but those aren't the only places to get the console. Plenty of people on the board have said that there were stores near them even right after launch that had the PS4. That won't change.

Here is something everybody should know.
Walmart has a layaway program.
Anyone who put one on layaway has until
12/13. To pic up.
Afterwards you forfeit your ps4/xbox one.
Contact your local walmart. They can tell you the procedure.

Good luck.

There you go. If you're smart than you could be playing a PS4 on Christmas day. If you missed Black Friday that isn't you're only shot, the stores will be getting more soon and you'll have another chance to get one. Just make sure to check with the stores and follow the suggestions of people on the board.

It's important that this sticks out for the shopping season. If you really want it and you've got the funds, move on that and follow it closely.

Definitely. No need worry about getting one if you want one early. As odd as it sounds, even though I picked mine up during Black Friday, if you missed it and have to sit out during the Christmas rush, I wouldn't worry much since things aren't going to pick up until like February-March.

A good place to maybe try is Craigslist.

I live in Alaska and there aren't much ps4 shippers up here and I was able to get a ps4 on Craigslist really fast.

It is mostly for the United States, but it is worth the shot.

If anyone is still looking for a PS4 and have a paypal account or live in the Philadelphia area, you can feel free to PM me. I also have a couple xbox one's

Just saw this posted on iGR today:
Best Buy Confirms Limited Stock Of PS4′s Available Sunday
The weekly Best Buy circular has confirmed that the retailer will have a limited stock of PS4 consoles available this Sunday, December 8th. The preliminary information doesn’t specify whether the units will be available online or in-store, or possibly both. It simply reads “(In Stock Sunday, Limited Quantities)”. If you’re still gunning for a PS4, being outside Best Buy first thing on Sunday might be the way to go.

Also if you don't want to deal with the retail stores then there is always a chance on Amazon. Right now they don't really have anything affordable but if you wait then they'll have a stock for sale soon. After all they recently started selling Xbox One's again. Also yeah, it's a matter of contacting stores that you know sell consoles and asking and asking them.

Why get a PS4 right now anyways? The games aren't worth it and you'll be forced to play games you're bored of for months.

From what i've heard, and the word of a few friends, sony has preorders up until sometime in january, maybe in February. I sure hope that this is not the case, as i'm still on my ps3.

You would think the Playstation 4 would have millions if not 5+ million units to be sold in 2014. It's in high demand after all, everyone wants a Playstation 4!

Sounds like it's as bad in the US as the UK - has been hell over here, luckily my persistence and a dump-load of wasted fuel were worth it, along with a hefty price-tag.

I'm almost convinced that there's a big scam going on between retailers, especially after what one well known electricals company told me on the phone. Joke.
