Which headset works with the PS4?

ShotRange

Hi, I really want a new headset for my PS4 but I don't know which I will get. What I want in a headset is:
Nice sound. I want clear audio and just something that sounds pretty good
Surround sound.
An affordable price. From 50$ to 170$
Decent enough mic quality. It does not have to sound that good, but other people have to understand what I say.
Bass. A good bass.
Durable. I want it to last atleast 6 months.
I would really appreciate your answers!

to get surround (optical from PS4), you're going to be in the upper part of that price range. There are some stereo headsets that try to simulate surround, but the audio is being delivered in only two channels, so its not as good.

In that price range check out the Turtle beach PX4's, or the Tritton 720+'s. Both can be found for around $150, are decent headsets, and are compatible with PS4.

Does wired matter? In anycase there are quite a few in that price range.
Tritton,Turtle Beach,Sharkoon etc offer a few models.
If its OK to use a wired headset for you (the only TRUE way to get TRUE surround still, not simulated or 'virtual',) then you defo have more choice.

Question.....
With ps3 I always play cod or bf with Bluetooth headset original PlayStation....

I've tried to connect with ps4.....result?
The ps4 find the headset but doesn't work....

It said "not compatible with ps4"
It's possible?

If I play with ps4 I can use only headset with the wire?

Its widely known since launch PS4 doesnt support bluetooth headsets and may never.
There are wireless ones that work but they use a USB dongle, not via bluetooth.

I cant understand that either though, why would Sony omit this feature is beyond me,its probably the thing that annoys me the most about PS4.

Personally though I do use a wired surround sound gaming headset most of the time but I do have a few bluetooth ones and it would be nice to be able to use on PS4 as well.
But I know not everyone is able to use wired headsets depending on their setup/situation so I really hope it's possible for Sony to add bluetooth chat support for PS4 sometime in the near future.

I heard that probably with one of the next updates the headset Bluetooth ps3 will be compatible....

I think it's a rumor...if I find the news I'll post it :)

My favourite headset for the PS4 had to definitely be the Tritton Pro+ Blacks. Extremely beautiful designs in my opinion along with some decent audio quality with it! Build quality is pretty top-notch and I've used it with my PS3 as well!

I've gone cheap and cheerful with Turtle Beach Xbox Earforce X12 headset from local Tesco at £40 and a £5 chat cable from Turtle Beach on Ebay.

The only downside is you need a tv with usb ports ideally as they are wired and usb powered and you don't get much room from the audio jack and usb cables so if your ports are close together on your tv like mine great but if not like a mates tv you will need a usb extension cable.

The clarity and power of these is exceptional and I've only got my tv volume on 30/100!

Love the wheels to control Bass, Game Music and Chat.

Chat quality is excellent from what I'm told although I can't hear myself so just record an audio message to check volume before gaming.

Also love the PS4 voice controls:

Playstation, Resogun, Start!!

If you are on a budget I can recommend these bad boys and you don't need an optical receiver just an audio out and usb port along with chat cable and you are good to go.

I'm still using my ps3 turtle bean P11s for my ps4 and I think my Xbox Gears Of War 3 tritton headset works with it too
