Who Played Legend of Dragoon?

I actually loved the concept of this game. I played it and continued to play it. I did fall afoul of the occasional game glitch and it could have been presented a bit better. However, I would love to see a remake! Who has played Legend of Dragoon and would like to see it remade with modern graphics and an even more sophisticated series of game components?

Another RPG that got over shadowed by the big boys at the time, which is unfortunate. My cousin had that game at the time, but i never managed to play it by myself, but i really liked it at the time. Unfortunately he sold it years later, so i guess i am going to have to look for another copy to try it out.

I played it. I enjoyed it. The locations that I was able to visit were breathtaking. The combat system was very unique at the time - allowing players to perform combos and such. The story was also pretty good. I had a certain feeling of joy and wonder as I was roaming around the lands of Legend of Dragoon. Too bad it was quickly overshadowed by Final Fantasy VIII. Despite that, I still loved Legend of Dragoon.

I know! That game could have been a dynasty starter if only the few glitches were worked out, a few tweaks were made, and marketing had been done better. A few small things would have possibly created a franchise that rivals many of the more popular games today.

I bought the game a long time ago and I love playing it. Unlike my brother I keep my games after I beat them and I play them over again to see if I can do better. I still play this game today. I like the game play, graphics, and the story. This was a great game it's just too bad it didn't get as much press as FF8. Sometimes my nephew borrows the game so that he can play it.

I'm just glad to hear that you keep them in playable shape! Too many people simply toss their games around like they are free. It's sad, especially for games like this. I'd start a petition to have this game remade or something. Legend of Dragoon was made by Sony but that doesn't matter. I remember what happened when Capcom decided to involve the fans in Megaman Legends 3.

For those who have no idea what Legend of Dragoon looks like, here's some art of the game that I found on the net. If they were to remake this game, I hope that it would look like the image below (hot chick and all):

Looks nice no? The chicks of Final Fantasy are a lot hotter though...

I played it but never beat it. I was playing that and Star Ocean at the same time. Legend of Dragoon was awesome though. Remember how when you attacked, you had to time it perfectly in order to keep the combo going? That was a really interesting addition to turn based rpgs back then.

It's funny you bring this up, I recently fired up my old PS and played this game from beginning to end and remembered just how much I loved it. The fighting style with the combo moves was something I liked a lot and it was always fun building up your character to the newest and best combos

The only thing I didn't like about it was the mass amount of characters, it made it hard for me to decide on which party I wanted to use, especially knowing that in RPG's you can lose any of your party members at any moment in the game. Aside from that though, I like the story line, the game play and everything about it. I played this right after I beat FF7 and I was pretty stunned at how similar the 2 were, while being completely different

The odds of a PS1 game being remade in any context is very slim to none. One of the more popular ones in FFVII hasn't been made. It's too bad the potential sequel was shelved, though. It was one of my favorite RPGs on the PS1. I loved the feel of it; the design and the soundtrack. I also really liked the Additions system, that was cool.

True, it is unlikely for PS1 games to be remade but that really only matters in regards to the owner of the license. FFVII hasn't been remade because Square-Enix claims that they would need to 'surpass' it before they could do it justice. I honestly read that as, "We need to milk it and hold it out as a carrot to get you to buy our games." It's almost as bad as what Capcom did with Megaman Legends 3.. but at least Squeenix didn't start the ball rolling with fan interaction.
