Wii U price drop confirmed

Well nobody was buying it, prices had to fall at some point of time. Its an inferior console to ones available in the market but a 50 dollar fall in price might just convince a few to buy it.

Not me though.

Nintendo have confirmed that the neither the price drop nor the Wind Waker Edition console will be coming to Australia, what a rip.

At least there's importing (and the fact that I already own one).

A nice thing for the upcoming Wii U bundle with the WindWaker HD included. Like a lot of consoles, will eventually get one to try out the games that i want and then keep it or sell, depending on how good the experiences from those games are.

This just had to be done if they wanted to compete with PS4 and Xbox One. I expected this, since they dropped the 3DS' price once the Vita's price was known.

Even if the console was only $50 to buy, I still wouldn't get it

Oh wow! Why so harsh?

Sure it may not be of everyone's taste to buy this as the games are pretty specific and only certain people are die hard fans of it. But yeah if it was 50$ I'm betting I would buy it lol.

To be honest Nintendo really should have tried a bit more to get 3rd party devs on board if they wanted to expand their player base.

Geez... that's really rather harsh. Even X-bots don't fall on it as hard as all this. Of course, I was one of those people who got this when it dropped so yeah. I just don't get all the doomsaying and hate and such.

I already bought it but if I had known that they were going to drop the price then I would have waited. $50 is worth the wait. That's the equivalent of the cost of a game.
