Will there be a lot of players on the ps4?

As the title says, DCUO has quite a lot of players, mainly on the PC version of the game. But looking back at that the game isn't as popular - and it's really just a pay 2 win game, will it have enough players? It also has a PC3 version, but will everyone switch to ps4?

What do you guys think?

I think you'd have to define "a lot". I have heard estimates that there are about 3.5 million players on the PS3 and 5 million in total.

That being said, those who are fans of the PS3 version will likely flock to the PS4 version as it will certainly solve a number of the performance issues that have dogged the PS3 version.

Seeing how the PS3 servers are already... a niche thing, to say the least, i guess this will just end up separating them both? Now that i think about it, will the servers be the same or different? Will the PS4 version have anything different from the PS3 version?

I think there will be initially, but, like everything else it will dwindle. Hasn't got enough drawing power to continually bring people back.

Well, I mean - it's a free game after all. And it should be popular but not everyone will "flock" to the PS4 version. By saying a lot - I mean like... at least 50% of its playerbase. I mean, I've paid a lot of cash to upgrade my characters and account and stuff - and I'm wondering if my characters will stay when I switch to ps4? Or will I have to create a new character, and will it be worth it?

I think it'll take time to build. A lot of PS3 owners aren't getting the PS4 yet for various reasons so 'a lot' is a relative term. I'm sure as time goes on you'll see plenty of people playing, especially since it's a great free-to-play game. So yeah, just give it some time.

I played it on the PS3 and was having fun with it unitil I really couldn't go any further without paying. There was a lot of performance issues with it though, and I think that the PS4 will solve a lot of these. Certainly I also played it on my PC and my PC had performance issues too. But I'm hoping that the playstation 4's 8gb Ram will be able to solve that problem.
