WIll There Be A PS Vita 2?

I remember PSP had numerous other versions of it that came out a few years after its original release. I think Vita is about a few years old now as well, and it feels like they are planning on staying on this version for a while. There wasn't even much mention about it on E3, so I'm doubtful that they will ever make a newer and better Vita. I am still hoping for one especially since they will be pushing for cross platform playing between PS4 and Vita and hopefully they significantly improve on the biggest complaints for it.

It's possible but for some reason I don't see it happening anytime soon. To be honest, besides a price drop I don't really see what Sony could change to the console. So, probably around the end of this year or early next year, I expect Sony to announce a price drop or probably eliminate one SKU. I'm definitely looking forward to a price drop though since I think a Vita will go nice with the PS4 I'm going to purchase.

Uhm, did the PS Vita achieve its sales target? Did its games sell pretty well? If so, then it's a safe bet that we will see a PS Vita 2. However, I think that Sony should keep the price to a minimum since it has a lot of competition like the tablets and phablets and smartphones. I think that handheld gaming consoles are no longer practical because tablets and phablets could easily double as handheld gaming consoles. Sony should increase the price competitiveness of the Vita 2 in order for it to be a hit.

I haven't even thought about the phone game market, but I suppose it does have a lot to do with this new version's steady decline in popularity. This said, I still hope that Sony was able to at least get close to their goal enough to warrant one last and better made portable console. Because I really want one with a better design, but I don't like the look and software of PS Vita and I don't want to have to settle with a second hand, older console as well.
