Will there be another Front Mission game?

I loved the Front Mission series. It started out in the SNES and it moved towards the PS1. However, the latest iteration of the game Front Mission Evolved seemed to deviate from its strategic roots. I didn't like the the change because it felt more like a third person shooter. Do you think that the developers would make another game and release it on the PS4? I hope that they would get it right this time.

I never played this game unfortunately, but I did look up any information I could find on what you're referring to. Unfortunately there's just not a lot out there right now on it. There's tons of fan material though so if there were to be more Front Mission experiences, I could see it being popular. Do you have any youtube links or anything that shows off the game, I'm kind of interested now.

Well, anything is possible, so who knows it could happen. Still, I think it's unlikely to be honest as Square-Enix has gone through some pretty rough patches these past couple of years so I think a new Front Mission game is the furthest thing from their mind. Right now they're trying to build themselves back up, so they are going to put much of their focus on the series that made them so successful in the first place, Final Fantasy. If Square-Enix does have a successful turnaround, then maybe a ne Front Mission game might be released on PS4 and Xbox One. Only time will tell.

Here's a video of Front Mission for the PS2. The graphics look outdated but the gameplay is pretty good.

Hmm, you have a point there Clark Wayne. It seems as though Square has been slipping off the radar ever since the birth of the PS 3 and the Xbox 360. They need rebuilding and yes, Front Mission ain't the game to do it.

Honestly, I don't think Square-Enix has the luxury to handle such a lesser known franchise. One, they are more interested in their main moneymakers such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, as well as Tomb Raider. Two, it's not just Front Mission which is one of their obscure titles, but there's a lot more lesser known titles in SE's library.
