Wrestling on the PS1

If you're a Wrestling fan and grew up in the PS1 era you might know what I mean when I say that wrestling on the ps1 was just awful.

The best ones were WWF Wrestlemania and WWF In Your House and with that all is being said because these are arcade games and not realistic wrestlingsimulations. Somehow the companies managed to just make any other game bad.

There were some nice tries like WCW Backstage Assault but though the ideas were good the realization wasn't.

The first wrestling game that I have played is WWF Attitude. I liked it so much because I got to play with my favorite wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mankind and the Undertaker. The downside is that the game did not allow you to fight in other areas like the Boiler Room or the Parking Lot. WWF Wrestlemania addressed this issue I think.

I remember playing a game called WWF Warzone. I actually enjoyed it for what it was. The game was actually realistic for its time. When you hit high impact moves on a wrestler, they would be stunned and show effects of it. It was okay.

Even though I was a mostly playstation fan, this was one area where I enjoyed Nintendo more. The Smack Down games were good. But too arcade like for me. The WCW games in the N64 were more about grappling, which I liked more

Not a wrestling fan but I did have one of the original wwf games which was fun.

Does someone know the Simpsons wrestling? That was so bad I just couldn't beliebe it when I played it for the first time. Why do they even publish those games? Everyone who bought it must have been so disappointed.

Lucky me, I never played the Simpsons Wrestling. They release games like these in order to capitalize on the popularity of a show. The Simpsons is popular. There are a lot of people watching it. So with that, there's a big chance that a lot of people will also buy the game.
