Interesting news to come out of Comic-Con this year as Microsoft has unveiled some exciting news about their new console's controller. Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Controller will recognize who is holdin it and not only that, it will automatically load that person's profile.

Is this is the controller that recognizes the players or is Kinect? This is not the same thing!

It would be nice though! This kind of features are nice! It can help us in the life of every day!
I would have liked it, as the Wiimote, we can transport our profile in our controller. So when we go to a friend with our controller, the data is ready! I admit that I do not see too much use for the moment, but the Wii did it well.

Anyway, I look forward to more!

I don't understand how it could possibly recognize the user holding the controller.
Does it have some unique id for the way it's held or is there some sort of fingerprint thing. It would make sense if it was the Kinect but not the controller, though I guess it could cut down on some of the annoying things you have to go through on consoles so good on them. Hopefully though it won't be used for some secret agent spying stuff by the scary governments.

That seems a little far-fetched, even with all the advances in technology in recent years. Unless it has some kind of fingerprint scanner, I don't see that being possible. A lot of people have very similar hand sizes and shapes, so it would be mixing them up all the time. If there's some kind of futuristic tech that I don't know about, though, I'd love to hear about it.
