After the disappointment of Ghosts I am still looking forward th Advanced Warfare.
Why? Well this is the first CoD on the new systems designed for the new systems,not a cross generation game like Ghosts was.Diff dev teams are handling the PS3 and 360 versions.That is good.
They also promise 'near photo realistic visuals' I wonder if that will be,no doubt for SP campaign but will the MP look equally as good then?
Its also running on a new game engine they say.
So while I have pretty much given up on Ghosts I have'nt given up on CoD altogether. Let's see how Advanced Warfare turns out.

I'll admit I am intrigued by it, but I stink at FPS, if someone I know gets it I may borrow it. Sadly no one I know is a gamer lol

It's the first COD game I've been interested in since Modern Warfare 2. Because it all looks very different finally. I mean, I would love to see more gameplay and all, but from the gameplay demo, it looks like things might finally be changing... which is a very welcome thing

I am looking forward to the new Call of Duty game. Although Call of Duty gets a lot of hate from a majority of the gaming community, I am still a big fan of the entire series. I can't wait to see what kind of new features they add to this addition.

Interesting new article at Gamespot that says the devs are aiming for a "Modern Warfare style new era".
So they wanna be classic and fresh at the same time.Its got a lot to live up too.

From what I have read, this will be the first COD that is built on a new engine as well. No more modified Quake engine. That should get rid of a lot of the lag and framerate problems... Hopefully.
IMO Ghosts was a great game mechanically, but the maps and community on it are terrible.

Kind of lukewarm about it. I hope it breathes some much needed new life into the franchise. I'm not holding my breath on it though. It looks nice and all, but it's about the map design and if they've made any significant strides gameplay wise. I've always found CoD campaigns entertaining, so I'm not really worried about that.

I hope it manages to save the series and make it the number one game again which everyone likes.

Lol wow. You should read up on as many reviews as you can first. Make educated purchases and what not. I haven't bought a CoD game since MW2, so I'm keeping my eye out on this one. If I like what I see or hear from other people, then I decide if that's what I want.

I really want to like the newer Call of Duty games, because CoD 2 and CoD 4: Modern Warfare were what got me into FPS games and I really enjoy them, but I somehow drifted away more and more from CoD and started playing Battlefield and Counter Strike. I hope it's not gonna be as disappointing as Ghosts was, because then I might actually consider giving up on the CoD franchise. I don't want it to die, but the series is on the way for me.

I've never actually played a CoD game. This new one looks interesting I suppose, but there are just SOOOO many great games coming around that time, it's hard to imagine I'd have time to fit it in.
Now, if they were to do a new WW1 era CoD, I'd be all over that.
Or better yet, an FPS set in the Napoleonic Wars. Meeting an enemy and desperately trying to reload first would be hilariously awesome. It would be like Goldeneye meets Sharpe. Sean Bean ftw.

Advanced Warfare is looking to be a game changer for the PS4. The graphics are amazing. The gameplay is fresh and relevant to today's gamers. What more could a gamer ask for?

I think I'm done with CoD...
They just continually fail to improve the game in a meaningful way time after time.
At least in sports games there is a reason to release yearly versions, but what are we getting here really? A rushed single player campaign that's over in under 10 hours and a multiplayer component that's basically the same as the previous game?

I have played CoD for a long time and for most of that it was one of my top games. I haven't played it in awhile and I don't think I will be playing it much if at all. Not interested in anything new in terms of the game.

There really isn't anything new, that's the problem
It's a series that completely stagnated, although I honestly can't tell you what they can do to get out of this slump. I could think about it if they hired me to do it though
I am sure I will end up getting the game. It is the one game that almost all of my friends have and play on a regular basis. I love the multiplayer game play (when in a party with friends), it just sucks that the last 4 games could have been DLC for new maps and guns. Instead they have all basically been the same game with a $60 facelift. Unfortunately when all your friends move on to the next game, your hand is forced unless you like partying up with randoms (which i don't).
