Your Preferred Price for a PS4

I just want to know how much are you willing to pay for a brand new PS4? The released date price.

Mine is $500 or less, that is my preferred price. Looking back at the PS3 launch prices, Sony stated they have learned their lesson about price tags,.
But I think they don't because when they launched the Vita its price is higher than the 3DS.

It better not be $500 / $600 dollars again. Sony had really good hype for the ps3 before they made the price announcement for that system. It was all downhill from their. I'm thinking $400 dollars should be the highest start price. Otherwise, i think i would be a big fumble on their part.

Well in Australia we have much different prices for video games and consoles compared to other countries. For instance, a new release game usually costs AU$90-100.

So for us, I'd be happy with the PS4 costing $600 at launch in Australia. But I highly doubt it as it'll most likely be around the $700-800 price mark.

The price for the Vita was insanely high considering it was for a handheld gaming device.
I don't believe Sony would have learnt their lesson at all and will still put the PS4 out fairly high and because I am located in the UK I will get ripped of again as for some reason they see it fit to charge us more than the US.
I think if I can remember the PS3 launch price here was £425($550) so it stands to reason that the PS4 will be the same price.

But I think Sony will probably put out the ps4 at a ridiculous price.
If it happens to be over $500, I might as well wait until the price drops.

$400, $450 maybe. I don't think $500 and over is right for a console for gaming personally. I don't care how technologically advanced it supposedly is. After all, I will have to buy some games and other stuff to go along with it as well. In total, the investment could reach close to $900. Pretty damn steep in this economy.

I want it to be like $400, but we all know that this will happen: "Since our BRAND NEW technology is so advanced, we have priced our system at $699.99!" I really know this will happen, and most likely, it'll look just like the PS3, and be twice the price of a new one. So, that's my take on the new gen.

Of course the cheaper the better, but it's not going to be cheap at all for at least the first year after launch. I will wait quite a while before purchasing one for this reason. My ideal price to pay would be under $400. I think it will be around $600 when it first is released, though.

Well in that case you think they'll offer half price off coupons or slash prices? Also what about Black Friday? Day after Thanksgiving? If it's out by then, perhaps they'll slash the price to $450 maybe? Also there will be many people entering sweepstakes to win these for free.

I'd only pay a maximum of $400-$450 for it, and for that price, I'm expecting a big library of games that will come with it. I think they are planning to have an initial release that retails it for double that amount though, so I'm doubtful I'll buy this one immediately, as I tend to do with every console I'll probably wait a while first.

I would like to see the PS4 come out with the same price as it did with the PS3 when that was released. Because it's a new tech age, and stuff are not that advanced anymore, it shouldn't be too expensive, but then again it's a gaming system so it shouldn't be that cheap either.

$350 - $450, anything over that would be ridiculous. I mean, I understand why It would be more, but I definitely would not buy a gaming console priced higher than that. I'd just wait until the price drops at least $200 before considering a purchase. The price for the PS3 was very high, and I waited over a year to buy it, or well, my parents did, lol.

I would be comfortable to pay something around 250-300$ for a playstation 4. If playstation wants more for it I'll just say pass for now, waiting till they wake up and ask a decent price for a gaming console.

I think the PS4 will be launched with a retail price of $500.00usd - $600.00usd. Again this will depend on various factors such as what games will be included, which model of the ps4 you're getting, I'm sure they will have greater memory units for higher price, and also full game packages that may include more controllers etc.

I would like the PS4 to be around £300, maybe £350. Just because I don't want to be spending loads of money on a gaming system that I will use for maybe 10 - 15 hours a week. Also you can get some good TV's and laptops for that price so I would rather I spend my money on that.

Well, it looks like the PS4 is around 400 USD, which is a pretty good price for a launch console. It's a bit more expensive for Europe I believe, but it's still quite a bit cheaper than the Xbox One, that's for sure.

I would like it to be around $400 because anything above that, I would personally just get a PC which gives better graphics and performance compared to the console. It probably wouldn't be my primary gaming device because I prefer the PC most of the time but having the console option around the house it good to have. I could join in with my friends time to time because some of them just play on the PS4 all the time.

I like topics like these. Let's imagine things as they should be. I would sell the console really cheaply. A price of $100 is good. The games are what should cost the most money. I wouldn't mind paying $65+ for a game as long as I paid little for the console because I've had a lot of consoles break. I shouldn't have to shell out an enormous sum of money just because the hardware breaks.

If we are talking a preferred price, free would come to mind. However I feel that $300 would be ideal for my budget.

They already said that the price will be 399. The reason why PS3 was so expensive when it came out because it was backward compatible with your PS2 games. Once they took it off the price dropped. The play station is just a gaming pc with other cool feathers. If you guys know anything about gaming pc's that some of them can be over 2000 bucks. 400 dollars is a steal for me once the PS4 comes out.
