Your Preferred Price for a PS4

Yeah,I know..I keep saying that PS3,PS3 and even PS1 were more expensive at launch, and thats not even taking into account diff time period and inflation.
So we are very lucky to have the best next gen console for the price it is at launch.

Well obviously free would be my preferred price xD Seeing as i dont know a ton of the specs though, i would hope its at least 500 maybe? Im guessing its going to be a lot more than that and im just not sure if ill be able to afford it to be honest. Hopefully they can cut us a little slack with the price but im guessing not.

I'm literally willing to pay anything under 600 bucks. I just don't wanna feel like I'm wasting my money and I know that with Sony, I'm not.

I just looked it up on the internet, the price was announced 10 days ago according to a website, it says "The PS4 will cost £349 in the UK, EUR399 in mainland europe and $399 dollars in the US." source not mentionned. The price seems fair, right?

I sort of feel the same way. Just give me a console that is solidly built and will not break within the first 5 years. I want it to last, unlike my Ps3's.

Wow that seems like a great price! If im not mistaken, the PS3 was 500 dollars when it came out correct? 400 dollars is a very fair price as long as it holds up to what its promised! (Im sure it will ;) )

I believe that the fatty PS3's were $599.99 when they were originally released. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. I am on board with a $399.99 opening price for PS4. That's not outrageous at all. Just make sure that there are a good amount of quality games available at launch. Then I'll be happy.

Correct, that's what I was thinking too and it kind of doesn't make sense, let's just hope these news are correct and that Sony is being so generous :)

Honestly, I prefer cheaper games + slightly costly consoles than the other way around. This way, once you get pass the major block (which is buying a console) you can easily go through the next levels (buying games) because they are just cheap. :) or should I say more affordable. hehe

I really like the $399 price tag, but in Australia the starting price is $550 :(

Think of it this way, if it was $500, then the prices in Australia would have been touching $700.

I think it's a fair price, fair enough for me to actually go and buy one when it becomes more freely available here in India. I never bought the PS3 because the thing was just so darn expensive when it came out and after a friend bought one, I never had the desire to buy one for myself.

Looks like everyone here is satisfied with the price, by the way, did you know that it's going to be cheaper than the Xbox One? Anyways, keep in mind that the price doesn't matter as much as the quality of the product, but Sony never let us down in that one :)

You cant go on that alone, prices for most things are higher here in AUS than U.S but then so is the average wage.An average factory worker in the U.S gets less per hour than in AUS.
Having said that we do get ripped off on many things, games as well ofcourse. And many people import their PS3 games from the U.K,many of mine are from UK.
