Ugh! I think Forrest Gump is SO overrated. Wasn't even close to the best film of that year, let alone one of the greatest of all-time. Just my two cents, anyways.

Maybe, but it's a film I remember watching vividly as a kid and ever since then I've really enjoyed it.

It's funny how you mentioned Forest Gump and not Bloodsport

Wow this is a toughie, there are so many that could easily make the list: Do I go cult classics with : Kill Bill all Volumes, Maybe foreign martial arts with Kung Fu Hustle or Shaolin Soccer, Blockbusters like the Avengers, Animated like Shrek, so many to chose from, from so many genres

This is such a tough call for me, but if I have to have a top five it will go as follows in no particular order.

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. Mirror Mask
3. Legends of The Fall
4. Fight Club
5. Devil's Rejects

My top five? The original Star Wars triology would most certainly feature in my top five and almost certainly the Back To The Future trilogy would do also. I'm also a fan of The Rock. That film could have so easily been an hour longer. For the fifth? It would have to be Planes, Trains and Automobiles – a real comedy gem which gives you a mix of emotions starring the superb Steve Martin and the late, great and much missed John Candy. Their finest acting parts in my humble opinion.

Outside contenders which I'd also give serious consideration to would be films already mentioned - The Shawshank Redemption, Full Metal Jacket (one of the guys in our warehouse at work is a double for Private Pyle and even has traits of the character too! We all call him Pyle as well!) and 2001 : A Space Odyssey. The first three 'Bourne' films I also rank highly. Then there's Terminator 2 and all four Pirates of the Caribbean. I think the third and fourth films were superbly written and are almost criminally underrated. Ferris Bueller's Day Off would also definitely be on this list just outside the top five, without question.

I see there's no mention for true classics such as Bridge on the River Kwai or The Great Escape…? They'd be on my list too. Superb films to watch on lazy Sunday afternoons.

There's no doubt others that I've missed in the 'also rans' as being great films.

I never really got into Pulp Fiction to be honest. I've watched it a few times now and I just don't 'get it'. It's just one of those films I’ll have to accept that most people seem to rave about but I just don't like…!

It's hard to list a top 5, there are so many. My favourite I would have to say is the original Wall Street movie. Will forever be a classic.

Another good movie is Vanilla sky. Most havent seen it. I recommend it if you like a movie that makes you think. Check it out.

I think that those are movies that I really enjoyed and that I think are the greatest movies that I have ever had the opportunity to watch.
