Beta impressions

I haven't yet played the beta, but I'm making this thread for people to share their impressions so far, as I want to hear their opinions on the game so far.

I'm still downloading it myself and, sadly, my connection sucks a lot, so I dunno if I will be able to do much when I've downloaded it...

The beta is currently available for all PS+ members, but I think it will be available for everyone next week.

Alright guys, I managed to play a lot of the beta yesterday...

The graphics are amazing, truly shows what the Vita can do and the framerate is good and stable. The game itself is really fun, due to how there's 5 phases during each match and each phase has its own objectives which must be completed to obtain points. The one map that is there is pretty good and has a lot of stuff going on despite being a small map (which is OK, since it's 4vs4). The only issue I really had with the game was the VANguard hacking mini-game. I didn't really understand what I had to do at first and I'm sure I'm not the only one, as I see many other players failing to hack VANguards. It's really easy, fast and simple once you learn what you have to do, however, which is good since you have to do it quickly so you don't get killed.

The ranking up and valor card systems are pretty fun too, but it kinda takes a while to unlock extra load-outs. The weapons feel great, too, though I did find the shotguns I used to be pretty weak... but one of them made up for that by setting enemies on fire!

Anyway, yeah, the game's really fun and it also looks great.

I only managed to play one match as I was busy, but from that one match the graphics look amazing for a Vita game. The gameplay was quite good. Still have a lot to learn but from that one match it seems like it will be a solid release.

It's definitely looking solid if the beta is so good (though the release is so close that I feel the beta is really a demo and not a beta, but anyway...). I think this will be the one game that can be used to showcase the Vita's graphical potential and its ability to play proper FPS games.

I would definitely buy it day 1 if my connection didn't suck (I only got to enjoy the beta because I was at a friend's house, his connection is great) because I can see myself playing the game for hours just on Multiplayer mode. The beta itself is addictive and it only has a single map and a single game mode, makes me hyped for the final release.

How much is it or is it free? is it only for VITA it sounds pretty decent for the vita anyway what are everyones real thoughts? i played killzone 1 and 2.

The Beta is exclusive for PS Plus members. If you're a PS Plus subscriber, the beta is free. And yes, only for Vita. I say if you really enjoyed Killzone 1 + 2, then this is a no-brainer!

I think the beta became available for all users as of today or at least it should have, from what I've heard. The PS+ beta was the same beta but PS+ subscribers just got it a week early.
