Curse of Chucky
Chuck is back and you still don't f*** with the Chuck! Been looking forward to this one from the day word came out it would be in the works. Although I find the original 3 Child's Play films just ok, I really enjoyed the heck out of Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. I was initially a little worried when I saw the trailer - it seemed to be a semi-reboot, ignoring all the other films or at least Bride/Seed. I won't give anything away but after watching Curse, I was relieved from my worries. Ok so how is Curse? Great! It took a while for things to get going and my worries were setting in, but after half-way through the film, things picked up and my worries died! Brad Douriff (think I might have the spelling wrong) was great as always as Chucky. But I do have my complaints. The blood and gore was pretty unnecessary - I am no fan of obvious fake CGI gore (well, I'm not a fan of blood and gore in general, but fake CGI blood is just awful). The "lesbian" scene was totally unneeded, felt like some producers stepped in and told the director to relate the film to today's sex-crazed youth. Also, so Chucky doesn't bleed now?! Aside from that, great film. Not as good as Bride or Seed, but still great. The ending will definitely make you scratch your head. I have my theories though.
Good.

SPRING BREAKERS
I've only just finished the movie as of a few minutes ago and am trying to figure out if I liked it or not. It started out good and promising, but towards the end I was getting irritated. Dialogue would repeat itself several times throughout the movie - in one case, there is a couple lines of dialogue that repeats itself three times in a row. The movie had an interesting style, I give it that. James Franco was surprisingly good. Selena Gomez gets an honourable mention, but the rest of the cast was just ok. Vanessa Hudgens (spelling?) just seems to be doing everything to get rid of peoples memories of her Disney past, but does so unsuccessfully. So yeah. A bit of a mixed bag. If you like certain female body parts and want to see teen stars gone wild, then go ahead and give this a go. But if you're after a great movie experience, then perhaps pass. Then again, this is only my two cents. You might of enjoyed the film and there's nothing wrong with that at all. Everybody has different tastes.
Average.
