Here is the link to the full episode on South Park's official website

Anyone here South Park fans? I am. They made an episode about Black Friday and the boys seem to be fighting over Xbox and PS4 in it. I haven't watched the episode yet myself, but if all the other episodes I've watched are any indication as to how this will play out, I'd just like to say that I'm glad that our discussions here are civilized and just.

South Park Eviscerates Xbox One VS. PS4 Fanboys

Xbox One vs. PS4: have you picked your side in the unending battle for total control of the console market?

No, you probably haven't - because you're the sort of mature tech fan who knows that the more healthy and popular systems the better it is for gamers everywhere.

Unfortunately, no one told the kids in South Park, Colorado.

EDIT:

Updating this post to link to all three episodes on the official South Park website. The first two episodes are temporarily unavailable, but they will be up again soon. Enjoy!

Episode 1 - Black Friday
Episode 2 - A Song Of Ass And Fire
Episode 3 - T**ties And Dragons

Oh man, I totally forgot there's a new episode today. Is it going to be a two parter or something? Seems like it ended pretty abruptly right before the best part.

I got an email about it (from Comedy Central) but I totally forgot about it. If there's one show on TV that I'd watch live, it's South Park. You have to watch the new episodes quickly, because they are only up for a week or so before they go away for a while (on South Park Studios).

Wait, are all south park episodes this short?

1 minute 43 seconds? ive never really watched southpark so i dont know much about it, but i always thought they were longer than this.

No,this is just a clip.

Im just shocked you've never watched South Park before?

I never really liked the art style (still dont), and I used to think it was one of those cartoons that took things too far for the sake of taking things too far.
I dont ever remember the show ever really being about making a statement about society or anything. it could be that the only way I ever heard things about the show was from those kids who only liked the "taking things too far" parts of the show.

I did watch a clip a while back about the state of reality tv, or the race to lower the bar or something, and i totally agreed with it. that may have been the first thing i saw about it that made me more open to the show

I don't know i got a couple text messages last night to watch it. It was really funny. Couldn't stop laughing that episode was hilarious.

South Park is Hilarious! :p
They are also releasing a game for both consoles so maybe it's a little marketing from their side.

I'm not surprised that they did this. The fanboy war has beeen a raging for a while and both sides have made pretty good points. Though I'm firmly team PS4, I like South Parks take on it. Though I could see them also using it as a way to remind people that their game will be released on both consoles.

South Park at its best is one of the most effective satires in all of television and it does it while being incredibly entertaining. They can be absolutely scathing about what they perceive to worthy of ridicule and do this while making a point. It somehow manages to stride the line between toilet humor and mature satire quite well.

Of course at its worst it is exactly what you fear it will be. A show taking things to the extreme just for the heck of it. There are more good South Park episodes than bad though.

I just watched this episode and I thought it was really good! I feel like they are having a lot of fun with this one, and I'm looking forward to seeing the second part. Glad to see fellow fans here agree!

Good news: A second part will actually be airing this Wednesday, titled "A Song of Ass and Fire" (hurr hurr). There's a preview up on South Park Studios' website if you wanna check it out. I'm hoping for something pretty big.

I keep seeing this episode pop-up and people saying it's one of the best in a while, really gotta give it a watch myself sometime. Still haven't watched the previous episodes of this season OR the entire previous season, though! I gotta catch up!

Regardless, I REALLY want Stick of Truth to come out already, too...

I appreciate the little Game of Thrones jab in the picture but yeah this is pretty close or actually frighteningly accurate to how fanboys act online. It can get pretty brutal depending on what forum or website you're on. I made the mistake of reading the comment thread on n4g and it got pretty ugly until someone made peace by throwing the Wii U under the bus.

I'm bumping this thread because winter is finally upon us! Episode three is here, guys, and I suggest you catch it on their official site before they have to take it down again for two more weeks temporarily. I've linked to the episode on the original post, but here it is again:

Xbox vs. PS4 South Park Episode Conclusion

I haven't watched it yet. Hopefully some of you might have already and if you have, please do chime in on what your thoughts on it were.

I think South Park is a bit formulaic in how it approaches pop culture events and tries to twist 2 to 3 of them into a single story. Sometimes though, it's brilliant. I can't wait to watch these episodes when I get home.
