Excited to play inFamous?

Surprise! You're getting zombie Cole!

First, if I see a zombie Cole then I'll rage quit. But I think it'd be better to start fresh, just kill Cole. Or as someone suggested earlier in the thread to have two different storylines but I don't see how they'll be able to pull that off. I'm just hoping that the new character is tolerable at minimum.

Zombie Cole got a laugh out of me. Boy would that suck. I've thought about it and the thing with the two perspective storyline idea is that you'd probably end up constantly creating a new antagonist/protagonist against the one you played in the last game.

Then you'd better stretch for extreme rage quiting. Joking aside, InFamous 2 is going to be awesome. I'm iffy on the new guy, but I'm sure they'll make him tolerable enough or have him grow on you over time.

Do you mean Second Son instead of InFamous 2? :p

Infamous and the much better looking PS4 version of Watchdogs was the main reason I preordered the PS4.

I played the first Infamous Demo when it came out and thought the demo was horrible. I did not buy the game for about 3 months due to the demo. However, after reading many threads on how good Infamous was and others agreeing the demo was not a good representation of the game, I purchased Infamous and was almost immediately addicted.

I bought Infamous 2 on Day 1 and feel like it is was a much superior sequel IMO.

My PS4 is not getting much use now as there are not any real good games for the PS4 yet or at least the games I am interested in. Infamous 3 looks like a true Next Gen game from the footage I have seen and I have watched some of the making of videos.

I am looking forward to this game more than anything else except for first Naughty Dog game released for the PS3 whether or not that is Uncharted 4, a new game in The Last of Us Universe or something completely new.

Watch Dogs looks fantastic but I am taking a wait and see attitude to see if this game lives up to the hype.

Infamous was an awesome game, I really enjoyed it, could have been much better but it was enjoyable.
I'll definitely play this one too, it is already showing some improvements so it should be better. :D

The more I hear about it the more interested I am in it. It's looking and sounding really interesting and so far nothing has turned me off it. I'm not too sure still about some of the changes that they've made but as of right now it's not enough for me to say no to the game. I'm willing to be patient and optomistic with this until I see something that makes me change my mind.

The only way I don't buy this on Day 1 is if there is a ton of reviews trashing it. I will buy this on Day 1 as long as the major sites that I trust their review give it at least a 7 or better. I honestly have a feeling this will be an 8/10 game that would have been a 9/10 game if they had more time in development.

I'd say go with gameplay footage--mainly Twitch--after checking out reviews. Twitch players generally take their time with the game and stuff. Reviewers have a lot on their plate to take care of (other reviews) and sometimes rush and not take in a game fully unless it's COD, BF, or Rockstar. I went with Twitch gameplay after seeing the reviews for Wonderful 101 and the game turned out better than some reviews let on.

Dude, they can make an Infamous game about having water abilities only and I would play it. A lot, seriously. I can't wait for Second Son, seems better than the other two in terms of graphics and game-play.

Well it's guaranteed to have better graphics. When a new console comes out I rarely consider how great the graphics are--just the vastness and diverse the landscape and character designs--my priority is the gameplay.

...dunno about water abilities though. Water always seemed to bring up the rear. Wind is cool, fire is awesome but far too easy, physical abilities are overdone but I still dig superstrength. Electricity based powers are just right. It's the Baby Bear's bed, chair, and porridge of superpowers.

Graphics aren't an issue, what I want is a good story because I will be harsh about it. I don't want a coming of age tale here, no cliches, just a great story. Also I'm hoping for some changes in the gameplay. Nothing major, just a little innovation to show that their advancing. I just want this to be a step up but even if things stay the same I'll still enjoy it.

I w

I would take incredible gameplay over incredible graphics any days of the week. However, this is 7 year old + newer hardware. I would expect to have improved graphics on both the great games and even the ones with bad controls.

Great graphics can make a 7.5 game into a 8.5 game easily.

Yes it is about more than the graphics but great graphics sure can make a big difference. Look at Gran Turismo 2. It would show the replay of the races from different angles in 480p (which nothing did at that time) and the cars looked so real during replay on the PS2.

if I had to rate games by playability then it would go something like this:
Gameplay:30%
Controls: 25%
Story/Plot: 15%
Graphics: 15%
Polish: 10%
Sound: 5%

Yes, that's exactly what I'm going to do! Sometimes reviewers just rush trough a game and consequently giving it a low review.

True. I barely read what the big website have to say. I prefer the smaller sites that have volunteer staff, and stream players on Twitch and Youtube. You can really get a feel for what the game looks like because they go through the entire thing. The problem with reviewers is you don't know if their personal bias is getting into their decisions.

That's really the best way to go. At least it works for me, really. The larger sites can be good at times, but the smaller sites or people with one or two people on a fan blog...I dig those for impressions on a game.
