Is their a campaign organised to persuade sony to add the spec's that are in the ps3 ? Dissappointed that i can't stream or play cd's.

I think that Sony is already working on that, as I know it's something that users have been complaining about. I found this article posted on Engadget which addresses what's going on.

Personally, playing CDs and stuff isn't a big deal for me. Would like Blu Ray functionality as the only media component (and play old games too).

Not sure if a wise decision by Sony or not. That being said, almost everyone these days have other means of watching DVD/Blu Ray and listening to music.. I understand they want to focus only on game play.

Sadly i disposed of my other cd playing options, believed the ps4 would be sufficent. Hopefully it will change because the sound quality is top drawer.
