Walmart getting "largest shipment yet" of PS4s on Sunday, Dec. 15th

Black Friday has come and gone, but the focus on helping customers save this holiday season continues at Walmart stores and Walmart.com. On Friday, Dec. 13 at 8:00 a.m., the retailer will drop prices on popular toys, electronics, apparel, table games and other products during its Christmas Countdown Savings Event. With only 12 days to shop before Christmas, these deals will come just in time for last-minute shoppers.

In addition, two days later, on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 8:00 a.m., Walmart’s largest shipment of the PlayStation® 4 (PS4™) – one of the most coveted gifts of the season – will arrive at stores across the country, just in time for Christmas. Walmart.com will also have a limited quantity of PlayStation 4 inventory available while supplies last.

Sounds like other retailers might be getting some on Sunday too:

I hope this is true! I use my friends PS4 a few times a week, still waiting on my copy :(. I really wish I had preordered!

That's good news. I have no doubt there are a lot of people still waiting to buy one, and specifically, buy one before Christmas so they can give it out as a gift. I'm personally probably going to wait until next Christmas where I at least will have a chance at a discount or bundle even if Sony doesn't issue a price cut, but I'm glad that this shipment will come in to make a lot of kids (and adults) happy this coming holiday season.

It is true. I went to walmart on Wednesday and got it. The guy there told me on Tuesdays truck they got a bunch for today's advertisement. They were allowed to sell earlier so I got mine earlier instead of getting it today.

I been hearing alot of places seem to be pulling some out the back on Sunday. Good luck to all those still looking.

I'm from the UK and Asda which is apart of the Wal-Mart family got them in on Friday 13th and have had them in over the weekend at various times, although I'm sure they've sold out by now. I think we'll maybe see one last push of the consoles getting in this upcoming week but I can honestly say I think people will become very desperate now.

Like I said in the thread about Ebay, some people will pay 1000+ just for a playstation which in my mind is a bit over the top.

Wow I really hope so, I've been trying to get one really badly. I've been using my boyfriends and want to get my own, I knew I should have ordered it ahead of time! :(

Thats today, which is also good because it is so close to the holiday season. I am glad they are getting a huge shipment because I need my PlayStation 4 ASAP!

I'm not surprised, we are pretty close to Christmas and it's the perfect time for Walmart to push the fact that they have consoles and get parents into the stores in order to make bank. Still if you don't have one now's the time to get a PS4 on layaway.

Wow, I am not surprised because everyone was planning a trip there for Black Friday. It even beat the Xbox 1 sales so that is pretty impressive.

I was bored, I haven't had net in awhile and so I couldn't really play much other than using my neighbors wifi for occasional Ghosts matches that lagged like a granny. So almost everyday I went to Best Buy and the Mall to play a PS4, though they only had a few demos like Knack and a Soccer game. I did go to Walmart once just to see if they had any and they said they were getting shipments around the 16th and I came back, right around 6 o'clock. Turns out, they got the shipments but they were sold out.

How the hell!?

Oh man dude, that sucks and I feel for you. I mean, PS4 is the hot thing this holiday season. Gonna be hard to get until supply becomes a little more saturated. I'm gonna start looking into buying one probably around January/February but I'm starting to chomp at the bit, especially since my boss just got one and keeps saying how awesome it is

It's the holiday season, so I expect consoles to go fast but I know there are a couple of stores near me that still have PS4's if people want them. So there are options, just avoid big box stores and check out your Target's or Costco. Regardless now that Christmas is over, stores should be getting regular shipments soon.
