Since Sony has announced the inclusion of a touch pad with their new controller, I think it is very likely that they will be incorporating this feature within controls of some of their games, if not most. I honestly am very skeptical of this feature, and frankly, I'm not much of a fan of games that require you to do a lot of extra stuff with your controller - e.g. having to shake it, tilt it, and soon... swipe, etc. as they seem to have done with the Vita. I especially hate this when all they do is put up instructions onscreen to follow X action at certain points. I feel it is all too gimmicky, and I wish they would just focus on making more and better games rather than incorporating all these to seem like high tech. I think 8 buttons, a D-pad and 2 knobs are enough, and adding all these gimmicks is just overkill.
