HBO app coming to PS3 shortly and will come to PS4 sometime after

With the app, HBO cable subscribers can enjoy unlimited on-demand content. According to a post on the official PlayStation Blog, the app is "coming soon" and will arrive first on PS3 before eventually making its way to the PlayStation 4. A timetable was not shared, but the announcement made mention of the impending fourth season of Game of Thrones, which will begin in April.

The Xbox 360 is currently the only video game console with HBO Go access, featuring special second-screen content alongside select videos.

This is great news for those of us that have HBO. Xbox has some great apps and it's nice to see that Playstation is going to be getting them as well. Hey, don't they know that HBO viewers like the Playstation as well? I'm a little surprised that they are bringing it to the PS3 first, seeing as how the PS4 is the new console. Unless they have been working to develop it prior to the PS4s release or they may figure that there will still be more users on the PS3 since not everyone has upgraded to the PS4 yet.

Oh, and YAY!! Love me some Game of Thrones!!

I do love me some BBC! BBC makes such good programs. Oh, and I love Doctor Who too Just thought I'd add that in there...

I'm glad. I love HBO and even though I don't watch all of their stuff, I'm glad I can watch their program with the PS4. I'm hoping that everything is smooth when the app finally works but I doubt that either Sony or HBO will screw this up. They know how to make this kind of thing work.
