Hello.

I have a playstation 4 and wonder if its possible to damage the hdmi port by get the hdmi cable bent when its plugged into the playstation?

My little kid have been dragged into the cable so that hdmi has been bent slightly down while being connected to the machine,
Hope you understand my question :) Is the hdmi port "protected" or could it easily been bent or broke from the motherboard?

Thanks for replays

It will have some support but too much pressure will surely break the HDMI port on any device. If you are having trouble getting your PS4 to display, it is probably damaged.

the HDMI port was a major issue with the problems the PS4 was having. If you are having any issues contact Sony. they will cover it but I wouldn't tell them about the kids

It works fine, just want to hear what you guys say because maby it could happend again

As long as it works, thats good. If the connector on the cable itself is bent, I'd just replace it. HDMI cables are a dime a dozen online and you can get a really good one for a few bucks. Though if you go to Best Buy, they'll give you the shaft :)

Same here in AUS,some department stores like Harvey Norman (Aussies will know) will try to sell you one for $100 or so and try to convince you that its better/different than one for $5 or $10 on ebay.(or anywhere else)
