Getting tired of the Indie onslaught of PS+ free games

Really depends on what game. If you are giving me some game which no one has heard off ever or giving me Watch_Dogs for 30$, Guess what game will I choose?

Just because you've never heard of a game, doesn't mean it's bad you know? It could be the best thing you've never played.

Right now the benefit of PS+ is if you still own your PS3, or a vita. There simply aren't eny good titles that are going to be free on PS4 yet.

I won't lie, any games are better than no games. Once we get about a year in, I think we will see the AAA's in there.

I'm lucky that I bagged my machine early so have enjoyed Resogun and Outlast for free.

I still play Resogun to try and best my high scores - such an addictive old school shooter. It's Defender on steroids!

I've also bagged Tomb Raider for £23 from the store and that's an absolute bargain - brilliant game if you haven't played it.

I didn't bother with Mercenary Kings and have deleted Outlast.

Even so I think for £40 the PS+ offeres decent value but yes lets have some more great games please.

Tomb Raider was part of an April sale though, so it wasn't really lined to PS+

Personally, I’d love to have a lot of indie titles to play. I’ve actually preferred to play them over the more well known, mass-produced titles as there are some quality examples out there which in my opinion are actually better games as they focus more on gameplay, puzzles (pending on genre) and how they make you feel, rather than just nothing but fancy graphics as the mainstream have gone.

Don’t get me wrong, there are indie games out there which little effort have gone into them, but I find I tend to enjoy more of them than not. Outlast is a real beauty and one of the very best indie titles that I’ve seen to date. I’ve already seen a couple of full walkthrough’s of this game towards the back end of last year and it’s something I’d happily pay the best part of £40 for. It’s very much what Resident Evil was and where, in my opinion at least, it should still be. It’s superb.

I only hope there’s still plenty of indie titles on offer as and when a PS4 finally lands on my doorstep. One of the main things that have actually attracted me to seriously consider continuing on with console gaming beyond the PS3 is the very fact that you can now also get indie titles. It’s competition for the more expensive ‘mainstream’ developers and producers. At least there’s games out there amongst the indie community that isn’t some sort of Call Of Duty / FPS type of game…! It seems most regular/mainstream games over the last five or six years has been some sort of hardcore shooter, which is why my interest in console gaming in recent years has decreased.
