No offense but do you thing even 10 percent of the people read the TOS for all the electronic gadgets and software?

In the real world, Sony can not monitor what people do in front of a "WebCam" anymore than Nikon can control what people take pictures of.

Do you people think that it is ok for my 8 year old son to be exposed to home made porn/pedos when looking to find someone playing Knack. For the record I am there with my kids, They can't use twitch and they have never been allowed on PS home as well because of sick fucktards. it's unfortunate but because of people that just choose to except it and say "using a game system for porn is fine, be a better parent" instead of saying this is not the place for it. Look, I have worked as an expert witness in computer forensics and helped put Pedophiles in jail for having illegal pictures and has lead to prosecution for other larger crimes. I also have a 9 year old boy at home so no I do not consider this a joke.

The problem is that Sony cannot be expected to prevent these incidents from happening. The best Sony can do is cut off their accounts and maybe even contact law enforcement when something happens. However, that does not prevent it from happening.

This is my personal feeling and I respect what you are saying but I don't necessary agree with the level of enforcement you would like because I don't think it is possible. All online games pretty much say online content is not rated.

If my son wants to see tips for Knack then I have him look on Youtube because it is so heavily monitored that someone is normally not going to pull out their dick as you put it. I think parents have to be more vigilant in today's world. I am not saying it is unreasonable for you to expect Sony to keep anything hosted on their servers that really is pornography (not a crude drawing or 3d model) off their servers. However, I do not have my 9 year old play online games because the language is horrible from all the kids. Yes my kids has heard that language a lot but I don't want it reinforced. He is still just nine years old and I don't want him to think it is acceptable for him ever to use that type of language at this age.

I really think the only difference in our viewpoint is I don't think Sony can prevent the bad stuff from happening and I try to monitor and prevent as much as possible. You want your children to be able to play it the Sony world like it is Disney World. Unfortunately, sometimes there are people having sex at Disney world behind some trees that come into view with other people. I am sure Disney would arrest them or kick them out of the park but preventing them from seeing it in the first place is very hard to do.

I wish I had a better answer for you because I sense your frustration but I think that some of this stuff is unavoidable. If it happens, make sure your kids report it to you right away and find out the username and report it. You can even call law enforcement although I doubt you would have any luck going that route.

It was bound to happen. There aren't many regulations that could be done or steps that could be taken to change this. I suppose it is up to the individual, but it is really a horrid thing to witness.

Well that is a give in and I agree with others. any kid that has a device that connects to the internet has porn access. I mean that is the same as giving your child a tablet. Seriously it is not Sony job to monitor those. A PlayStation is not for a child in my opinion, so if many are concerned then maybe a Nintendo is the way to go for your child.

Well it's nice to see Sony stopping these porn shows as I'm sure somewhere in the ToS it probably would have something about explicit content. I know its parents job to monitor their kids access but honestly I think getting like porn shows on a gaming console.....there is something weird about that.

I completely agree with you. I know that Sony can not monitor every channel. all I am trying to get across with my point is Sony has a legal leg to stand on. Ban the console and report to the authorities. That's all that can be done.

Sony does not want to find themselves on the wrong end of a class action lawsuit. I just don't know what they have actually been doing if people are being reported.

With mobile phones, tablets, free WiFi there is porn available almost anywhere you care to look and as mentioned really it should be the parents responsibility.

Then again sometimes the parents appear to be a major part of the problem sometimes with a lack of responsibility and control.

It's not like you can't watch porn on the PS3 or PS4. It's just that if a child ever does stumble across something like that, they can say, 'Well that's not really our fault, sorry'

I'm fortunate that I've never fumblied to such streams yet. I think Sony have already curbed the issue but I'm not sure. Personally, I don't get why some people have no respect for themselves and others. Who in there right mind would want others to watch them have sex live. I've never tried it (honest as I dont have a webcam) but after a South Park episode I believe it involves roulette and chatting but not necessarily in that order.

It sounds pretty dodgy to me but I guess whatever floats your boat.
