The maker of fighting games such as Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting, and King of Fighters has decided to sue the RPG giant over video game characters used in a Square Enix manga called High Score Girl. Square Enix sought permission from other companies, such as Namco Bandai, Capcom, Sega, and Konami to use certain video game characters from those companies, and they didn't object to it. A new title, SNK vs. Square Enix, has been released, but it's not in a video game format.
