I have 1 ps4 and just bought my kids a one for christmas. What I wanna know is can I run rhem both on same account, 1 master account and one sub account, and can we both play together online with digital downloads at the same time? Figured if I do digital I wont have to buy 2 game copies for us to play together. Anybody do this or know you can?

You should be able to. Say you download/buy "Battlefield 4" for example on your account. As long as you have your account on both consoles and downloaded the game on both consoles, then your kids should be able to play the game on one of the consoles, while you play it on the other. As long as your account is on BOTH consoles, you should be set.

I dont even know how the second one started. Phone was buggin when I posted so maybe thats why. Tried to remove it but didnt see where I could. No I didnt try it yet cuz its still in the box for when I gift it to the kids. Just tryin to make sure its gonna work out beforehand.

I'll be honest and say this is a tad confusing for me.

I looked this up right and you can have two systems on the go and you can share those benefits up to two systems.

I think you should take a look yourself here: http://us.playstation.com/ps4/features/ps4-faq/

Take a look at 'Playing on other PS4 system when your not home'

It says you can play up two consoles consecutively, one being your account activated as your primary account and one other system.

Its a little confusing because I've heard conflicting reports across other forums. I'd actually phone up sony support and ask one of the officials.

Yeah cuz I see people say you cant multiplay online on both at the same time, says it will boot the other offline when you log in. Now, I did read where if you just pay for 2 ps+ accounts and set each as a separate primary and then sub accounts on the opposite systems it work just fine, but still confusing a bit if that works right. I would think after a year of the system being out that there would be a clear and decisive explanation as to if and how it can all be accomplished. I really just dont wanna have to pay for 2 copies of the same games when I already paid for 2 systems.

You can't do that.. I'll tell you why. My brother and I both have a ps4 and have tried it. You have to have at least one account attached to a ps+ account to get online. You can have multiple accounts on your machine and play online but your "primary" account can only be on one machine. So you can have your account on your ps4 and your kids ps4 but only one will be able to have your account as a primary account, and you see without a primary account being on a ps+ you can't get online. Hope that helps

What if both me and the kids had seperate ps+ accounts and then I set theirs as my primary and mine as my sub. Then set mine as their primary and theirs as their sub. Then we would both have access to eachothers games and be able to be online?

Unfortunately, you can only have 1 PS4 set as your primary. You will probably need two PS+ subscriptions, but at least you only need to buy the games once.

Champagne, you really need to get back to this thread with the outcome after Christmas... I'm on the edge of my seat here and really would like to know how it turns out
My brother may be getting a ps4 this Christmas and although I imagine playing the game online TOGETHER could only be done by BOTH buying a copy of the game
I'd still interested
Best of luck mate

This is not as confusing as it seems. Make the living room console your primary. you sign into your name in the bed room which allows you to play any game you have bought. the living room primary allows anyone to play any game you have bought. Trust me I am doing it right now. As a matter of fact My wife can play the same game at the same time as me and she doesn't have PS+. We are both going off my PS+. Nothing to worry about, your good to go.
