New to PS+, Help Please...

I redeemed my son's 12 month PS+ subscription successfully, but now he and I are unable to find the + features. How do you access the free monthly games, access online play, save on the cloud, etc.?

If anyone could give me a quick rundown on how to access the PS+ features, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
To access the games go onto the PS store, go into the playstation plus section and then monthly game collection. They are in there but bear in mind they do change monthly so it's best to 'purchase' all the free games so they will stay in your library.
Online gaming will be a menu option in the specific games and as EVILDEAD333 had shown on the video clouds saves are automatic on the ps4 as long as it is signed in
 
Cloud saves are a nifty feature. It's nice because I don't have to be so anal about backing my stuff up to an external hard drive anymore incase my PlayStation goes caput :)

One thing about the free games that no one mentioned though that you need to know, Bkind, is that the free games are only good as long as you have PS+. The way the licensing works is it is licensed to you for however long you are a PS+ subscriber so if you let it lapse or you don't renew it, the free games are not able to be accessed anymore. In today's world though, that shouldn't be much of an issue since you need it to play multiplayer. The only time I see it lapsing is when you a) forget to renew or b) you sell your PlayStation.

I must be missing something. I just went into the PS store, but don't see a specific PS+ section within the store. Where is it? Thanks!

Yours is set up different to mine. Is this on PS4?
You could try searching for playstation plus in the search box at the top?
 
No idea why I'm having trouble. Network connection is good (just tested it). PS+ subscription is active. Yet I do not have the PS+ section in the PS Store (I tried searching for it), and I'm unable to the other PS+ features (saving on the cloud as per the above youtube video or play online multi player games).

It must be something I'm missing...

In the meantime, my sons are being really patient :-)

if you search secret ponchos on the store is it free?
 
Ha! As expected, it was something simple. My son activated the PS+ with his user account, which is a sub-account under my main account. I had parental controls on for his sub-account. Now that those controls are deactivated, he has the PS+ section in the PS Store.

Which leads me to my next question...only my son's sub-account user profile has the + features. How can other user profiles on my PS use the + features? Thanks.
