Gas under $2 in the US

So who here has taken advantage of the extremely low gas prices lately?

The Station at my work is currently selling gas for $1.78 a gallon. That's insanely cheap for my area.

I think I paid 1.90 in Jersey yesterday. Its comforting knowing My gas bill at the end of the month isn't going to be 300 bucks. I paid just over 30 to fill my tank yesterday and it's usually over 60. I drive a Jeep and travel a good 70 miles round trip every day to get to and from work so it can get pricey at the end of the month. With that little bit of wiggle room now, I'm not afraid to spend my money. You know, stimulate the economy by buying goods :)

I like how in America you call them 'gas stations' when I know you are talking about petrol for your vehicle. Here in AUS we just say petrol or service stations or 'servo's for short. (servo=service station)

OK,here in AUS where I am its actually gone down a bit but still paying about AUS $1.18 a Litre.Though country areas it's even 10c more. And in major cities its cheaper still.
So...google tells me there are about 3.7L to a gallon so that's about AUD $4.30 a gallon and at current exchange rate thats about USD $3.50 a gallon.
Correct me if Im wrong though please anyone.
So wow, that is cheap for you U.S guys.

Haze: How much is it in Tassie at the moment on average?

Definitely cheap. But the US is one of the largest producers of oil in the world and as far as I know, we have just recently been outputting more recently than we used to. That with the demand supposedly going down and the Middle East not scaling back their production, it drove the price down. Why just in the US, I dunno. You ask me, gas prices are just made up and it's all a load of BS. But then again, I don't know jack about this nor know what I'm talking about. Just enjoying the benefits :)

3.50 is about average what I was paying up till it started tanking.

Our price for petrol in the UK has also fallen to around £1 a litre , in some areas it might just be under £1 litre but it varies.

How many pounds per liter were you guys paying for before gas tanked? (no pun intended :) )

In Italy, from 1,9 Euros a liter, it dropped to 1,4 a liter in this period. 80 cents are taxes though...

We were paying around 1.29 --> 1.40 depending on your area.

You've got remember though a liter is far less than a gallon, so you guys had it okay to begin with lol

Yeah I know. I tried doing the conversion to figure out what the price is per gallon. Then I remembered I was educated in the US so my math skills suck ;)
