Newcomer asking for help.

Hello.
Without anything else, I'll go straight to the point; I want to buy a Playstation 4... All my life I was being pc gamer, but idk, now that I have an opportunity I want to try smth new, I ain't that guy who plays for graphics and etc. I just want to have fun. And the reason why I wanna switch is just because I want to play on console, on PC I was playing one game, which I had pretty decent computer, but still... So as a new guy in the block I want to ask for help:

1. First of all is it worthed? I just want to spend my time on gaming, so that "better graphics, 60 fps, mods etc" don't really bother me up, so I'm asking for a true answer, is it worth switch considering my needs just of simple gaming?

2. Will it keep me entertained? I mean won't I drop it out after few months of playing? I mean gaming was a really big part of my life with PC, could it be the same?

3. As an immigrant I struggle with language in new country, not that I can't speak, but it's sometimes hard to understand things in movies, so I'm asking: in my local gamestop (Germany) I've seen that game boxes are in German, so it means the whole game is gonna be German? My native language isn't English, but I love playing games in English, so am I going be able to change the game language?

4. Multiplayer; if I'm gonna play from Germany, does it mean that I'm locked to play with Germans? Is it possible to play with whole Europe/England etc.

Sorry for grammar mistakes and thanks for who is going to reply!
Much love

And laziest answer of the year goes to iamthenight :p

No need to apologize for your grammar. It's better than most people on the internet :)

I'm gonna put in my input here to try and help you out.

1) Yes. Definitely you will be entertained and yes, definitely the PS4 is good for simple gaming. Also keep in mind too you can buy a lot of simple, indie games as well on the PlayStation Store and if you have a PS+ subscription, you can get some of them for free to try out to see if you like them. If not, no harm no foul. But depending on your region (assuming you're from Germany), the cost is around $50 US (I'm from America. Only know that amount, lol)

2) Yes, again, you will be entertained. But this is also dependent on your personality too. In all honesty, I haven't picked up my PS4 in a few weeks. Not to say I'm not entertained. I just don't have a lot of games for it right now and my focus is on Borderlands: Pre Sequel and Mass Effect which I have for PS3. But if you find a game you like, it will definitely keep you entertained for hours (like the hundreds I put in Destiny on PS4).

3) This one actually depends on the game. I have games here in the US that are just in English. I have other ones that are in English but you can subtitle for many languages and change the language of the menus and stuff. Others you can change to the 3 most used languages in America (English, Spanish and French for them damn Canadians ;) ) You might have to do a little research if this is a concern. Or you can just get the German games, keep a translator app handy and use this to your advantage to learn German. After all, the best way to learn a language is to totally immerse yourself in that language. Plus, you'll blow other Germans away and I'm sure gain a huge amount of respect from them when you can speak good German instead of knowing only your native tongue. When people ask how you speak so good, how badass (or nerdy) will it be that you say you learned such good German from playing video games :)

4) This might be a concern for matchmaking. I have played many online games where I was playing with people from Great Britain, France, Germany, South America a few times, etc. But again, depends on the game and where the servers are located. I know 95% of the time when I play online games, I only end up matched with people from America. I generally don't get put on a server that is hosting a game in Europe. Again, depends on the game and how they have their match making set up, but just my experience. But if you know people from your home country, you will be able to play with them. On my forum, I play with those guys fairly frequently and they are all over the world. Just takes some coordinating with time differences and stuff when playing with friends in other countries :)

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, let us know :)

no seriously! yes for all of them

no seriously! yes for all of them

Well, not to be a stickler but he did ask if it would keep him entertained. Then the next question asked 'or if' he would drop it. So basically you ended up contradicting yourself through the simple yes thus not really answering his question ;)

imthenight90, thanks still, atleast you answered. :)

Titan, thanks for those long answers, really thanks, it even made me want to play games in German. :D I didn't had a lot of ppl to play with even in PC, but I met so many new people there, but I was playing 1 single game for years and haven't played anything else, so I want to buy ps4 because of that and is it possible to meet new people to start playing with? :)

If you post here sure. I've played destiny with guys from here. When you get a PSN id post it and be active i n the community and you can find people to play with.
