50HZ tv good enough to play GTA5 and other games on PS4???

Yeah, that's fine. I actually have a 120Hz TV (since I'm stateside) and I had to shut off the higher Hz and drop it to 60. The higher the Hz, the more issues you have with input lag and possibly motion blur. Hz goes hand in hand with how many FPS your TV can do. So, 120Hz means my TV can do 120 FPS. However, console games never, for the most part, go above 60. So there's no point to having a higher Hz tv for gaming, at least until they start using higher frame rates :)

Oooooh. I assumed you were asking about an old TV. In that case you should get the best you can afford. Maybe get one with a better refresh rate since tvs have gotten a lot better than when I got mine (I have an Insignia I bought like 5 years ago. The software in it is not very good). Actually, your topic inspired me to maybe look into upgrading my TV to a gaming centric one. Was looking at a couple links during my morning coffee. I'll share what I found.

Like anything you just need to do your research. These guides are good and make it easy to understand what to look for.

Hi, yes I am getting new ones, lol. I havnt much to spend I have money but cant justify spending too much. I don't wish to spends 500 etc. its too much.

I am looking now for a 50inch, 100hz or least 60, smart tv.

Yourself it really depends on your budget and what speed you wish to have, if you believe you could do with 4k etc. Myself I think a 600 or so Samsung or LG would do you fine for a sub 50 inch, if you wish to get 50inch and more for your money avoid LG and Samsung. saying that finding one with 100-200 off wouldn't hurt.

Good luck and thankx, I did see a JVC smart 50inch TV led, but its 50 hz, guess itl hurt now. I guess spending 300 plus on a PS4 and games might as well buy a TV that it registers with.

The game runs at 30fps, so it being 50hz is fine. It won't get higher fps just because the TV can handle more than 30hz. It is 30fps on all Tvs.

It's going to be more common to see games running at 60fps this console generation. So at least 60hz should be good.
