Not possible to connect PS4pro with lan (wifi works)

Hello everybody

I didn't find anything in the search so I ask this way

We upgraded from our PS4 to PS4pro. While installing we were not able to connect the PS4pro to the router via lan cable. The PS states that the attempt to recieve an IP timed out.
During trouble shooting:

I connected via wifi and it works fine
I used the wifi "values" to feed the lan in the setup
I used different cables to check for a cable issue
I used a Laptop to check the lan and found normal operation
I connected the PS3 with the same result (lan not working wifi working)
I connected the previous PS4 which worked normally on lan (and wifi)

Did anyone of you observed a similar issue?

Welcome aboard Tom. Did you tell your PS4 to connect via cable? When you set it up to connect to the internet you usually have to tell it to connect to either Wi-Fi or cable then it sets it up automatically. Same idea with the PS3.

it sounds like an electrical problem, how old is your LAN cable?

Hi,

of course I told the pro to connect via lan, the reault is that the action to obtain an IP times out and the pro stops the attempt.

the cable was a new one, and the cable in the house was installed some month ago
