Ps4 Help please!

I recently got a ps4 console from a buddy that had updated it about a year ago and ever since it will turn white come on but if your shut it off and back on it only blinks blue? After setting for a long period of time several days it will come back on again? Any reason it would be doing this?

Any fix to my particular problem I know it's the blue light of death but anything to fix it based o my desxription?
