Ps5 controller wont accept 2 controllers on same account?

Just received my ps5 and almost setup however when i try to add a second controller i get a different response than the online tutorials.

first when i plug the second controller in and hit create/ps button i get only one light. On the blue tooth controller in setting i see my user name assigned to my first controller. When i try to add the second it asked me to make a new user or switch user to the other controller or the current one. I cannt add 2 to one account.

Only one controller can access an account at any given time, the ps5 does have a guest account system that will create a temporary guest account for the second controller and as long as the main account has access to something the guest should be able to be brought along without any issues, simply hit new user and then quickplay
